As Jane was running a long, she ran to one of her favorite trails. It was covered with trees and was beautiful during the summer. She loved feeling the wind on her face while she ran. As she was running and jamming out to "Dead or Alive" by Bon Jovi, she noticed something in the bushes ahead. Has she got closer she slowed down. She noticed a small-ish black box lying in the bushes. She ran past it. She thought about it.
*What was in that? Should I go check it out? Did someone get rid of it on purpose? WHAT WAS IT!?* Eventually she turned back to check it out. She bent down and picked it up. Inside was a very slick and modern silver ring. Jane didn't have anything like that and really liked it. She thought, *Wow, now I know how Gollum feels about this stuff.* Underneath it there was a note. The note read:
"To whomever finds this ring, it belongs to you- do not worry! It has magical powers beyond your dreams. When worn, this ring can transform the wearer. There are a few different things it can do. If you wear it and think about someone you know, you can become a copy of them. If you wear an article of their clothing you will *become* them, and they will become you, without the ring and they won't know it. If you wear an article of clothing that is bigger or smaller you can change size to fit those clothes. You can wear clothes of the other gender and become that gender. Sometimes the ring will even learn new tricks! Good luck, have fun, and be careful!"
Jane stared at the note in disbelief. This was a dream come true. She was never truly happy being who she was and now she had the opportunity to completely change her life and become whoever she wanted... she could try things out and find out what she liked until she found the right life to slip into. She slipped the ring on her finger- it was a perfect fit- and continued on her run thinking about what she would do first.
