"FUCK!" The young man behind the wheel shouted as he slammed his hands down on the wheel. The car had come to a stop on the side of the road next to an old field where horses were grazing. "I swear I just had this thing serviced."
"Calm down, Marcus, getting angry won't do you any good," a girl with long red hair seated in the passenger's seat next to him said. She checked her phone and frowned a little. "That's weird, I've got no service out here. Does anyone have service so we can maybe get out of here?"
Their three friends in the back seat checked their phones and shook their heads. They frowned a little as they checked their phones, none of this made any sense. They had service up until the car broke down, so they were stuck here until they could figure something out. One of the girls in the back seat gripped the girl next to her's hand.
"What are we going to do?" She asked, looking terrified. "If we can't call out then..."
"Sarah, calm down," her girlfriend said as she leaned in and kissed her gently on the lips, pulling her in close. "We're going to be just fine. See all these fields? There's got to be someone around here that can help us, probably a farm or something. I'm sure they have some way to get us out of here, so maybe we should go check it out?"
The others seemed to figure that was their best chance.
"Alright, I'm going to stay here and try and get the car running," Marcus said as the group of friends started to get out of the car. "Or see if anyone drives by at least."
"I'll stay and help," the redhead said with a slight nod. "We'll catch up with you if anything happens."
"Alright, Celeste," Sarah said as she gripped her girlfriend's hand. "We'll be fine in no time, Mary. Come on Dan, we should find a farmhouse or something not too far from here... I hope."
The three friends started walking together while Marcus and Celeste got to work on the car. None of them noticed that one of the horses was watching them, his eyes glowing red.
