“Amby!” a voice called. Amber grimaced. She would recognize that voice and nickname anywhere. Her mother was here. Quickly, she put the phone back in her pocket. “Aw, did my little girl have a good day at daycare?” She was lifted into the air.
“Yes, she did!” an employee informed Amber’s mom. “Not a single accident! The potty training is going well.”
“Fantastic!” Amber’s mom gushed. She beamed at Amber. “I think a certain someone deserves a reward!” Amber’s mom carried Amber out of the daycare, to a minivan, and buckled her into a car seat. As they drove away from the daycare, Amber took out the phone and generated a new sentence.
“Amber is the only one who knows she has a phone.” Quickly, Amber changed “knows” to “sees”, then generated another sentence. “Amber’s phone is invisible to everyone else.” Perfect. Now, Amber could cause mischief without people taking her phone away.
“We’re picking your daddy up from work, sweetie!” Amber’s mom called. Amber focused the app on her mom and generated a sentence.
“Amber’s mom is happy she didn’t have any accidents at daycare.” Smirking, Amber changed “mom” to “dad”. Immediately, her mom turned into a man. Amber generated a new sentence. “Amber’s dad is excited to tell his husband about Amber’s success in potty training.” Huh. Apparently, Amber now had two dads. Well, she didn’t mind that. She actually kind of liked the idea.
They arrived at Amber’s other dad’s work. He got into the car and was promptly told about Amber keeping her diaper clean all day at daycare.
“Aw, my Amber-poo is such a good, smart girl!” Amber’s other dad cooed. Amber scowled. All this focus on potty-training was frustrating her. It felt like a lot of pressure. If she was going to be this age, she didn’t want to feel any pressure whatsoever. She generated another sentence.
“Amber’s dads are glad they have started potty-training Amber.” Amber changed “have” to “haven’t”. Her diaper grew in thickness and her skirt disappeared, presumably to allow for easier access for changes.
“She’s too young for potty-training,” Amber’s mom-turned-dad said. Amber’s other dad nodded. “I don’t want to rush her.”
“I agree,” Amber’s other dad said. Already growing bored again, Amber focused the app on her other dad and generated a sentence. She smiled at the result.
“Amber’s bearded father wore his lucky suit to work.”
