“Lilith?” Marcia said timidly. Lilith stirred.
“Yes, Marcia?” she asked. Before Marcia could reply, her stomach rumbled loudly. Lilith chuckled. “Are you hungry?”
“Yeth.”
“Well, I don’t have a lot of mortal food, but I think I can whip something up.” Lilith got out of bed, leaving Marcia behind. Marcia sat in the bed and waited for Lilith to return. As she was waiting, she felt warmth spread through her diaper. She scowled, disappointed to be needing a diaper change again. Finally, Lilith came back with what looked like a strawberry smoothie in a baby bottle.
“I peed,” Marcia announced immediately.
“Thank you for telling me. Why don’t you drink while I change you?” Lilith handed Marcia the bottle. Marcia eagerly began to drink the smoothie. It tasted a bit different from a regular strawberry smoothie, but was still very good. Marcia was so distracted by her drink that she didn’t even realize her diaper was being changed until it was done. “Thank you for cooperating so much during the change, sweetie.”
“No prob,” Marcia said around the bottle. She finished draining it. Lilith took it from her with a smile. “What in it?”
“Don’t worry about that.” Lilith picked Marcia up and brought her to bed. “In the morning, we’ll go to the store and get you some proper food, okay?”
“I wiked it, though.”
“Mortals shouldn’t consume too much of what I gave you, cutie-pie,” Lilith said, poking Marcia’s nose. “Now, go back to sleep.” Before Marcia could think on what Lilith had said, her eyes drifted closed and she fell asleep.
