Christina let out a huge sigh of relief. It was an intense experience. Most likely, nothing was going to happen. But, there was the smallest of chances that something could happen. It was that gamble that filled Christina's body with energy.
Christina leaned back and relaxed. She tryed too, at least. She couldn't calm herself down. Her heart beat like a drum. She felt her muscles twitch. She tried to steady her breath. But, she couldn't stop the spasms. Soon, her entire body was a vibrating mess. Her legs shook and her cheeks twitched. She was scared.
In a panic, Christina stood up. She reached out to her phone so she could call the hospital. But, before she could do that. The impossible happened. Christina split.
Christina's body was torn apart in different directions. Her head split in two. Then split agian and again. Her arms and legs ripped apart. The ribbons transforming into new limbs. Christina tumbled to the ground as it felt like her chest was hit with a shotgun blast as it split apart into copies of itself.
Christina groaned as she regained her senses. Her muscles had stopped contracting. That was a good sign. She looked around her bedroom. She was suprised to find 15 copies of herself that were all just as confused as she was. Each Christina shared the same memories. As far a each individual could tell, they were all the original Christina.
"Wow," 16 voices exclaimed in near unison with each other.
Each Christina felt a connection to the others. It was as if she could tell what all the others was thinking. Yet, she remained as an individual. Seperate from the others.
"It worked," a Christina chuckled, her eyes wide with disbelief. "I'm 16 of me, now."
