Darren grinned at the now pacifistic Scotty. The Coach was glad that he would no longer wake up in the middle of the night due to Scotty's occasional late-night brawls. Although the whistle wasn't going to keep him that way indefinitely. Its effects would eventually wear off unless re-applied or a habit was formed. You know, just like a coach wants to do for their clients. Anyway, while Darren wasn't a life coach, he knew that Scotty still needed some more guidance. Find a more positive outlet for all his aggression, something that he can use his actual (magically obtained) coaching expertise. Well, that and his whistle. Even if Darren wasn't fully aware of the effects that the whistle was having on Scotty.
"Alright, Scotty, please take off your shirt."
"What!? Like hell, I'll take off my fucking shirt for you, pervert!" Ugh, it looks like Scotty was going to continue to be difficult, huh, Darren thought. Guess he had to be a bit more firm again.
"I said. Take off. Your. Shirt. Now!" The Coach then blew the whistle, and yet again, Scotty was compelled to do whatever the coach said. Reluctantly the neighbor tore off his shirt, and Darren frowned at what he saw. "Oh my, this was worse than I thought."
"S-shut up! Not everyone has time to live in the gym like you!" Sure, Darren may have been exaggerating a bit, but it was still a far cry from when Scotty first moved in. The coach remembered the time he saw Scotty just walking around without a shirt because hot it was, and he was leanly muscular back then. However, now, not only was his abs gone, but he was beginning to develop moobs, and most of his muscles have shrunk. Things probably would have gotten very ugly if Darren hasn't stepped in. In fact, that got him thinking.
"You never been to the gym before, have you?"
"W-what? Of course, I have been to a gym before. Just... not recently." Although Darren could tell that Scotty was lying with how his eyes were darting back and forth, or a the very least, he only has been in a school gym or something.
"Let me guess, you relied on good genetics for so long, but your bad eating habits are catching up to you." All Scotty did was sneered, letting Darren know that he hit the nail right on the head. "Well, that settles it; we're going to the gym right now."
"I'm not going any-" But before Scotty could continue his complaints, he saw then Darren grab the whistle yet again. Now accepting that he can't fight the whistle, Scotty decided to go along with whatever the coach said. At least until he figured out how to separate them. "Alright, alright, I'll go."
"Heh, glad to see it my way. Don't worry, after a month with me, you'll be a new man."
