James knew he would need to hurry if he wanted to remain human and not end up...end up a DOG!
He couldn't wait. Not any more. As tempting as it was to enjoy another round with himself, he pulled on a hoodie, a pair of heavy pants, wincing all the while at how his hybrid body reacted poorly to his sudden donning of clothes. He felt a sense of urgency as he started to hurry out the door, his newfound strength, speed and endurance guiding his step all the way. He passed by a door, and snarled - damn but the temptation was extremely strong. He thought he heard someone sound rather frightened back in the apartment - further back, toward where the other dog was. Just thinking of it in more detail would've been...ill-advised.
James ran as best he could, grateful as he did that at least he wasn't being stopped by anything.
People parted for him and regarded the changed James like a monster at least in the way that mattered most - not getting in his way. He was bombarded by so many smells as he ran that he almost lost track of time. He snarled and gasped and groaned, "I...have to get over there! I can't let that woman take away my...my humanity!" He couldn't believe he was so dumb.
So eager and so easy to convince it was all the work of a werewolf transformation. He shook his head and kept going. Not too long until he could reach the carnival. Yet it seemed as he reached closer and closer, the carnival goers didn't seem to regard him as all that odd. He halted to catch his breath and one woman, pretty well to do dressed in a white gown and gloves and with long blond hair, stopped by and scratched his ear, "My, you're developing nicely. Half quite a handsome man, half dear little pooch...how does that feel?"
"It...feels...fuuuck..." James murmured and kept himself from panting in approval. It was exceedingly difficult, but he was here to find one specific person. Kayla. He suddenly pulled away from her, barely paying the woman heed as she waved at him. He kept running forth for Kayla. His muzzle kept growing out all the while. Still capable of speech so far, but different in how it sounded. "Grr...gaah, making my voice sound so weird. Damn, need to get my humanity back."
He finally stood at the entrance to her location, grinning as much as he could. He started to hurry inside.
Whispers all around, people chattering though he couldn't even see them. And then he saw her. Standing by herself in a corner. He approached, and she turned to regard him. She smiled, "Hey boy, how's it all feeling?"
"You know well how it's "feeling"!" James said as he leaned forward, "You're turning me into an animal!"
"But it's pretty fun, isn't it? Being like this. I know well enough through my crystal ball that you had quite some fun." Kayla said with a mischievous grin, "And I'm willing to make you a deal."
"A...deal?" James asked.
"I'll let you keep your form as it is, more or less half dog half man. Capable of speech, but with so much else going on," Kayla said in a certain tone, teasing him, scratching his ear in a way that made his tail wag against his heavy pants. Feeling so constricted... "Or," she said, "I can turn you back into a human mortal man...mostly. You're pretty far along right now. But I'll leave that choice up to you."
