Leah watched the group of kids she had stopped by for a moment, then continued on her way. She felt a strange tingling sensation come from her swimsuit, but decided to ignore it. As she walked, she began to change without noticing. She shrunk down to the height of a kindergartener, her curves disappeared, her hair became longer and tied into pigtails, and her bikini changed into a one-piece patterned with unicorns.
Leah arrived at the community pool. She nodded at the person manning the front desk and walked in. After locating a good spot, she set down her items, not realizing that her towel now had princesses on it, and made a beeline for the deep end of the pool.
“Ah, ah, ah!” a voice said. Leah looked up. A lifeguard had come over. “Sorry, sweetie, but if you want to be in the deep end, you need an adult.”
“But I am an adult,” Leah said, confused. The lifeguard chuckled. He took Leah’s hand.
“Sure you are, sweetie.” He led her to the shallow end, filled with young children. “Unless your mommy or daddy comes with you, you’ll have to stay here.” The lifeguard then walked away. Confused, Leah walked into the shallow end. The water came up much higher than it should. Leah’s eyes widened. She rushed out of the pool and into the bathroom.
“Whoa!” she gasped, staring at her reflection in the mirror, that of a six-year-old. “It worked!” She thought back to the kids she saw playing with sprinklers and water guns. Now that she was the same age as them, it was incredibly tempting to leave the pool and join them. But she had already gone to the trouble of coming to the pool.
