Marcia decided to do the only thing she could think of doing. She began to wail loudly. Promptly, a butler burst into the room. He looked at Marcia.
“Where’s Lady Christine?” the butler asked. Marcia pointed in the direction the man had gone.
“Bad man took!” she sobbed. The butler’s eyes widened. He sprinted off after the man. Marcia could only hope that he didn’t become a victim of the strange man as well. She continued to cry quietly, unable to stop after working herself up so much. Rusty whined from his spot on the floor. “I fine,” Marcia said shakily.
Finally, the butler returned. Alone. He ignored Marcia and Rusty, going over to a phone. Marcia watched nervously as the butler placed a call.
“Yes, I need to report a possible kidnapping,” the butler said. Marcia’s heart sunk. The butler hadn’t been able to catch the man. She listened to the butler provide details to the police. The butler finished the call. He dialed another number. “I’d like to hire a live-in nanny,” he said into the phone. Marcia’s jaw dropped. “She’s about two. Thank you.” The butler hung up and left the room.
A few minutes later, the butler came back, accompanied by a maid.
“Lady Christine wanted us to take care of this little girl and her dog. I’ll take charge of the dog’s care. A nanny will be here first thing in the morning to take care of the girl. In the meantime, could you watch her, Heather?”
“Sure,” the maid, Heather, chirped. She walked over to Marcia. “Let’s get you to bed, sweetie.” Heather carried Marcia out of the room. Marcia watched the butler lead Rusty away. She sighed quietly.
Things were definitely not going the way she wanted them to. She let out a small fart. Her bowels emptied into her diaper.
“Ooh, someone made a stinky,” Heather cooed. Marcia blushed furiously. No, things most certainly were not going how she wanted.
Luckily, during the night...
