Jess was feeling frustrated and a little restless. She couldn't decide what she wanted to do to her lovely Mary Canary. Then the thought struck her. Why not a game of cat and mouse? That would solve both her nagging indecision and give an outlet for her energy. Gleefully, the coyote-girl picked out three vials. One for her and one for Mary.
Uncorking the vial labeled 'Mouse', Jess grinned in at the twittering Mary inside of her cage. She poured the entire contents into Mary's empty water container. "Now, you better drink all of this. We're going to have a little game." Jess grinned, showing her canine teeth, and then drank for one of the vials she took.
Mary looked at the liquid swishing around in her dish, then hopped back away from it and twittered angrily at Jess.
Jess glared at Mary. "Here's the deal: We're going to play cat and mouse. As incentive for you to play, I'm going to place a dish with this vial," Jess showed a vial marked 'Human', "somewhere in the house. You are to try to find it before I catch you. You, of course, are going to be the mouse, and I the cat!" Jess purred as the vial she had drunk took affect. Her fur became lighter and a striking orange color. Bands of dark chocolate emerged a little later. Jess's tail thinned and lengthened into a long tiger tail. Jess, now a tigress purred and rubbed her newly changed body.
She looked at the trembling canary. "Now, the catch is that I'm also going to place other dishes filled with other vials. So, you better guess right, or else you're going to be something else. As I go do that now, you better drink all that up. If I come back and you're still a tasty bird, you'll be sorry!"
Jess moved with catlike grace back to the box of vials and took it under furry arm and left the room to set up the game.
