"No. We can't! Not this game!"
"Why not Eric? What's not to like about it? Your acting really strange" said Ted
"It's just..... It's just...... Well the game is magical. It changes you"
"Sounds fine to me" said Maureen "I could do with a bit of magic in my life! I gather your friends were playing this last night. They seemed to be enjoying it. Why can't we?" Maureen picked up the dice, gave Eric a motherly glare and rolled.
"Mum! Don't!" But of course Eric was too late. All he could do was watch as Maureen's token advanced 8 spaces and a card flipped over.
Maureen read: "Select very carefully"
"A piece of you, you want to keep"
"Something that if you were to lose"
"This is not what you would choose"
"Amy had that card yesterday" said Eric "The game is starting to repeat itself"
"Oh? And what did she choose?" asked his mother
"You don't want to know"
"Yes I do. What did she choose Eric?"
"Eric! Answer your mother" said a rather annoyed sounding Ted
"If you insist it was 'Her femininity' but don't blame me if you end up with it"
"I'll agree with that" said Maureen "I wouldn't want to lose my lady bits"
"And I would not want you to lose them" added Ted
"You might regret saying that Dad"
"Eric! Enough! Please explain why you find this game so offensive" asked Ted
Eric was fed up he decided he might as well tell the truth. His parents would no doubt soon find out anyway . He looked first at his father then his mother "The game is magical. All these attributes the game is asking for. The winner somehow gets them. Remember the girl who let you in last night?"
"How could I forget ? A very attractive young woman" said Ted
"Would you believe that was me?"
"Well no quite frankly"
"Well it was. I was given that body as a reward for winning the game"
"And I'm Marilyn Munroe" said Ted sarcastically"
"Okay don't believe me. We may as well keep playing. The rules do say that once a game starts it must be finished. I hope you enjoy wearing a dress. It's quite a sensation actually. Your turn I gather. Have a toss"
Ted picked up the dice but didn't toss. "Eric are you trying to tell us something? Are you coming out?"
"Oh Eric! No need to keep secrets! We will love you even if you are gay" added Maureen
"No Mum I'm not gay but this game did cause me to wear a dress last night". You will find out soon enough. You may as well toss Dad. We are in too deep to pull out"
Ted did toss and threw a double 6. His token moved forward 12 spaces but once more finished on a green square. Ted read the card that flipped over: 'What a score. The game will give you more. Choose a trait you love from each other player'".
"Choose carefully" said Eric
"Okay from Eric I'll choose eyes and from Maureen I'll choose legs"
Eric groaned. This game was going the same way as last night
