"A creepy old cabin out that way."
Alexis appeared indifferent, "What's so creepy about it."
"Well it's really big and it's been abandoned for so long even my parents don't know who used to live there."
"Fine let's go take a look, but it better not be lame."
The walk there wasn't long and the two soon entered the small clearing where the old building sat.
"I guess that looks kind of cool," Alexis admitted, "What's it like inside?"
"I don't know. My parents said it's probably dangerous inside."
Alexis gave her a slightly befuddled look, "Wait you just wanted to look at it from the outside? Where's the fun in that? Let's go in a take a look around."
"You're not serious. What if the floor collapsed under us or something?"
"Oh come on what are the odds of that? Admit it you're just scared."
"I'm not scared! I just don't think going inside is a good idea," truthfully Sarah was actually a bit scared. The potentially dangerous nature of the building was a factor, but even just wandering around in a dark old rotting building sent shivers up her spine.
"Great if you're not scared how about we just peek through the windows or something?"
Sarah knew that Alexis definitely intended to push further if she agreed to that, but part of her felt obligated to prove her lack of fear. The weight of the stone seemed to intensify as Alexis looked at her expectedly. One quick wish and the entire situation would be gone. No! How could she even think that? That was crazy! Right?
