The Magic Shop

Self reliant

"Mom, it's just practice." He chuckled, lifting back up his bag which contained his football gear.

"Still, you have to have something in your stomach and a lot of water." She lectured. "Are you taking care of yourself honey?" She asked.

Stanley chuckled, that's when he replied, unaware he was going to change reality once more.

"Yes Mom, I'm taking care of myself." He replied somewhat sarcastically.

Once more, Stanley felt somewhat off. Why did he keep feeling this slight dizzy spell? He was about to ask, but then felt a growl in his stomach. Tears welded up in his eyes and he began to cry. That's when Stanley's mother rushed right up to him in his little playpen in the living room and picked him up gently.

"Ohhh! Stanley no." She cooed, rocking her infant son gently. "Don't worry I'm taking care of you. What's wrong baby boy?" She asked in a sweet tone.

Stanley nabbed, looking grumbly up at his mother. His thoughts were one track, looking for food. He reached his hands out towards his mothers breasts and tugged on her blouse.

"Oh dear, somebody must be VERY hungry." She giggled.

Candice McNeil was a 40 year old woman who had only recently given birth to a beautiful baby boy. Her husband Fred and her weren't trying to get pregnant again, after all they were getting older, but it was a sweet surprise nonetheless. She was still pretty good looking for her age, and despite having three kids. She had Patrick 8 years ago, and Martha 10 years before that.
"Hmm." She muttered to herself.

She had been thinking about her life, but something felt off. As she let Stanley begin to suckle onto her puffy right breasts, she began to try and pinpoint what was so odd. Then it hit her, why did she have such a large age gap between Pat and Martha? She remembered that she had a reason but... what was it? An 18 year old, an 8 year old and a newborn were all fairly weird age ranges.

"Ah! Ha, careful baby not too hard." She laughed, getting interrupted by Stanley sucking a little too hard.

She brushed her curly red hair from out of his face, and then gently pat his not so hairy head. She was about to go back to thinking on her past when she noticed something very odd. On her baby boy's hand was a ring! Not just any ring, but a strange looking adult one at that.
"Oh no no, that's not yours." She sighed, using her free hand to swiftly pull the ring off Stanley's finger.

The baby didn't seem to care as he continued to suckle away at his mother's exposed chest.

Candice looked the ring over. It didn't seem like it'd be that expensive, and it certainly wasn't one of hers.... not to mention the oddness of it somehow getting on her son's hand in the first place.
"I guess I'll hold onto it for now." She thought, before slipping it on her hand. The magic of the ring compelled her too, not even letting her realize that the ring resized to fit her finger.

"What a day." She muttered, gently moving Stanley over to her other breast. "Why is my head like this today?" She wondered aloud.

Candice decided the best thing to do was to talk about what was bugging her and try to reorganize her thoughts. Unknowingly, however, her words were going to rewrite reality as whatever she said became a lie. What does she say?
