Friend asked me to pick her up from her work. The stable she's working in is on my way, so it wasn't a problem, I jumped over the fence and helped her take horses back to their stalls. "Your work looks so good... It makes me feel like I choose wrong career"
"Yeah... but what I really wish, is to have a horse and win some competition, that would be really satisfying, instead of just taking care of them"
I sigh and reply "I wish I could help you with that, but..." I mean having my current job I don’t want to lose, horses being expensive as hell while I don’t earn enough and all, but then a bright light flashes us both.
"What was that?" I ask and notice her stepping back, looking scared. I start feeling some discomfort, I can’t describe. She checks me out from toes to head, looking more scared with every second!
"Y-y-your f-face... hands.." she says with a shaking voice. I look down and notice my fingers straightening.. merging?
"What the hell?" I ask, observing as my hands become... Hooves?! Then I feel my clothes tightening, as my whole body grows. I feel my clothes tearing, I try to cover myself, but then I fall forward on all fours and my vision changes drastically.
"R-rob, are you still there?" she asks. I nod and try to say "yes", but only a neigh comes out of my mouth. Looking down and around only confirms that I'm a horse now. I start to panic!
"Preparing your horse for the competition? Don't stay too long, Alice." the stable owner asks from his car as he drives in.
"My horse?" she asks, then looks at me terrified. It seems like my car disappeared and on pasture appeared some horse obstacle course equipment…
I stand there still, scared to do anything, as he comes closer "Here, new halter for ya, should fit better" says handing her one, then leaves to his office. With shaking hands she puts it on me.
"I don’t know what’s going on… but we’ll find out… And I’ll take care of you" she says petting my muzzle and… kissing my cheek? I had a crush on her earlier, and that makes it even more awkward… it feels.. good?
