Lina was sat on the sofa, Viki and Lucy practically smothering her with their bodies, both wanting attention, and Lina was tempted, so tempted to take them up on their offer
"Sorry you two, but we have a job to do" said Lina, giving both a peck on the lips "there will be plenty of time for this when we're all safe, but for now we need to see this through"
"Your right" said Viki with a huff " but you owe us big time for leading us on" she said before smiling and getting off Lina, Lucy following suit, giving Lina a wink before heading for the front door
"Where are you going?" Asked Lina, Lucy just grinned "well the sooner we get out of here, the sooner I get my reward" she said swaying her hips seductively, before walking through the hologram "What a tease" snickered Viki before turning to Lina "but she's right, we need to pick up the pace if we want to get out, so I'm going to go see what I can do to help Sofia" said Viki, giving her a kiss on her cheek before walking through the parts room door
"Ok be careful" said Lina, Viki sighed, turning to face Lina "Yes mom" she said sarcasticly giving a small chuckle as she closed the door behind her.
Then time seemed to stand still, literally, dust moats stood still in the air, the TV screen stood still, and all was silent, then small amounts of green mist began pooling out of the top floor door, then out stepped, Echo, shaking as she walked, both hands reaching out for support, Lina had mixed emotions at that time, She was proud, scared, confused, and happy all at the same time.
"Umm mommy I can't get down......I'm scared" said Echo, her arms and legs trembling, not just with effort, but now also with fear, then it dawned on Lina "Echo.....are you afraid of heights?" She asked, Echo giving a small nod in reply "ok sweety I'm coming" said Lina as she waddled up the stairs, scooped up Echo and carried her to the bottom, placing her on the last step, Echo walking down that on by herself, giving Lina a triumphant grin
"I wanted to.......say sorry for how I acted earlier, it turned out, my brain whent a bit further back than my body" said Echo as she fiddled with her jade medallion "its ok sweetheart, we just wanted to make sure you were ok" said Lina with a big smile" can I........hug you?" Said Echo in a small voice as she shakily shuffled towards Lina, Lina wordlessly waddled over to Echo and practicly blanketed the small girl with a hug "you want a hug, you get a hug, you want kisses, you get kisses, and if you still want milk every now and then, Guess what?, You can, whenever you want, don't be afraid to ask me for anything, ok?" She said as Echo hugged her back, her head resting on Linas belly.
"I don't think my mind will ever be like it was, like the fact that I still want milk, and that I feel younger, well I guess I am younger" said Echo, her look miles away on thought "one good thing mommy is that I can still do this" she said as she outstretched her left arm, the design of her snakes seemed to come alive, slithering down her arm and opening its jaws on her palm, Lina watched as green mist formed a blanket under a small cup that was on the coffee table, as it was lifted into the air
Then Lina saw that the mug wasn't the only thing levitating, Echos eyes began to create waterfalls of green mist as Now the coffee table itself began to rise, along with the side tables, the sofa and chairs, even the stools in the kitchen "Echo stop!" Said Lina, this was the first time she had risen her voice to Echo,
Echo jumped, the green mist evaporating, and everything falling back just as it was, before she fell to her knees, tears forming in her jade eyes "sorry mommy" she said trying to wipe her tears "I wasn't a good girl, I did a bad thing" she cried
"Nononono Echo you wernt bad" said Lina, jumping as time started up again, the TV suddenly coming back to life, as its sound once again filled the room "we just need to teach you how to get good at controlling that magic of yours again" she said stroking Echos black hair, them Lina herd the sound of Echos stomach growling
"Is someone hungry?" Lina asked Echo smiling, Echo had a big smile now "yes I am" said Echo, Lina grinned "what would you like to have, it's up to you" she said, by giving her a choice, maby she would start to develop her mental status to match her bodies age
"Can I have milk?" Said Echo in a small voice, Lina playfully rolling her eyes, so much for that idea, but if ist what my little girl wants it's what my little girl gets Lina thought as she took a seat on the sofa, opening her arms, inviting Echo into them
Echo sat there deep in thought, before the thought of food diverted her attention as she shakily walked over and curled up in Linas embrace, taking her breast in her mouth, and gently suckling, like mama Viki had taught her, and she was soon rewarded ad Linas milk began to flow
Lina sat there, enjoying the feeling of closeness with who she now considered to be her daughter, that is when something felt.......off, as she looked down she began to panic as she saw Echo getting smaller, younger, before it seaced when she reached what Lina guessed to be two years old.
Lina did her best tobcalm herself from what just happened, her heart pounding, and her babies kicking up a storm " sorry about that in there" she said rubbing her belly in wide circles, soon calming her brood "I guess you chose for your body to match your mind Hey?" She asked Echo, hitting a gurgle in response "well as long as your happy, you can stay this way forever if its what makes you happy, il be here as long as you like" said Lina stroking Echos back as she fed
Almost an hour had passed, Echo had long since fell asleep on Linas chest, Lina having no complaints, and that's when she felt it, a tightness in her abdomen, like a rubber band being tightened over a watermelon, Lina groaned in discomfort, Lina immediately realising what was happening, as she looked down at her belly "NOW, of all the times you could have chosen, you lot chose to do this now?" Lina whispered to her belly as another transfer contraction wracked her
