The girls returned to the waiting room with a clean bill of health. Jennifer even managed to snag a lollipop on the way out. When they returned, they noticed Kyle pacing and looking flustered again, and decided to go talk to him again.
“Hey there again, Kyle,” Rachel said, “how’s our favorite little geek doing?”
“Wha-who-me?” Kyle stammered, “I-I-I’m just... kinda nervous is all. It’s kind of a long story and... I wouldn’t want to bore you popular types with my troubles.”
“Nah, it’s totally fine,” Jennifer knickered, “Let me make it up to you for pantsing you the other week.”
“R-really?” Kyle squeaked, “A-alright then! Ahem! So, you’re aware that Jennifer and Chiffon were the first girls in East Hampton to test positive, right?”
“Uh-huh, thanks to you in my case anyway,” Jennifer nodded.
“R-right,” Kyle scratched his head, “well it turns out, it’s not just the two of you girls. Almost 15% of the female students have become... I believe the bouncerbutt word for it is ‘boingy’? Am I saying that right? Regardless, the renovations couldn’t have come at a better time, but they had to be extended due to the increase in the student body’s bouncing bombshell population. Now, clubs have been advised to continue operation in the meantime, and I’m part of the Dungeons & Dragons club. Now, one of the members happened to be a girl who tested positive for the syndrome, and she started blowing up during last night’s session. She’s currently in the ICU because... she had the madness.”
Rachel was gasped into silence when he mentioned that. Jennifer was confused, never having heard of this madness before.
“Y-you don’t mean ‘Bounce Madness’ do you?” Rachel asked from between her fingers. Kyle nodded gravely.
“You know how bouncerbutts experience an extreme high the moment they bounce for the first time?” Kyle explained, “Well sometimes it makes people snap, and they start bouncing so hard they starve to death. She’d been wrestling with depression for a while, and she hoped that becoming a bouncerbutt would help alleviate her symptoms, but... she would have ended up bouncing to death if we didn’t manage to knock her over. The doctors say she’ll be better than fine when she wakes up, but it’s still got me mad worried.”
