"Transform." Jennifer simply answered, instinctively playing along as if to quell a certain worty in her chest. It had to just be a fools game whatever this kid Kyle had planned but for some reason, she felt an indescribable fear at the mention of this game.
"Well, I had hoped you didn't answer in time but well, life won't go the way you hope. I do hope you know that this choice really has consequences for your life beyond this point Jen." Kyle sarcastically mocked through the phone, holding back a chuckle at the Choice Jennifer made. "Well anyway, do you want to hear what your curse will be?"
"Just get on with it Kyle. I may be a bitch but at this point, I can feel this isn't bullshit anymore so just say it."
"Fine, calm your tits. Though how long you may have them for afterwards is down to luck."
"Kyle, stop with the cryptic shit and say it goddammit."
Very well, since you chose transform, I guess I'll use this particular curse. The curse you'll be afflicted with is that you exchange a trait every tike you touch a living being. It doesn't matter what the trait is as well; intelligence, body parts, a part of your personality, all are subject to the curse." Kyle began to explain as Jen could only listen patiently "Now the organism you touch will end up gaining a trait from you in exchange for getting one from them, they will also be unaware that anything has changed regarding themselves so if for example you swap your blonde hair with someone with black hair, you will gain black hair and they gain blonde hair. Reality will also adjust a slight bit so that any conversation regarding your hair will always treat it as always being black and for the person you swapped with, they will always have had blonde hair."
"Couldn't that just benefit me in the end if I'm careful?"
"Perhaps if you are aware you could put measure in as to avoid unnecessary touching, but I don't want you completely aware of the curse. I'll put in this detail, you'll only notice that you have changed when you look at yourself in the mirror at 9pm every evening without fail. You'll realise everything that has changed about you during that day, so regardless of how drastic your body changed, you'llonly notice anything at 9pm. I assume for the first few nights, you might be distraught, but eventually you may swap enough parts of your mind that you enjoy this. Who knows though."
Scowling, Jennifer could only bluntly respond to Kyle's disturbing call. "Is this all, or is there another catch?"
"Hmm? I guess to be fair a little bit on you, you can only swap one trait with each person and if you ever touch that individual again, you won't swap anything else with them. I know your deserving of punishment but there's a point where I have limits. Besides, this curse could eventually backfire on me. Anyway, I'll leave you to forget about the specifics of the curse as to let you suffer through it." Kyle finished his speech then hung up on Jennifer, leaving Jennifer to her thoughts.
Admittedly, like Kyle said, despite thoroughly explaining the curse, she can't quite remember how it is triggered. Perhaps it might actually all be bullshit, but somehow the fact she forgot most of the details of the call in a mere moment m suggests this is more then just bullshit.
"Oh god, what the fuck has Kyle done." Jennifer mumbled, not noticing as her door opened and in walked her mother who lightly tapped her shoulder.
"Sweetie, are you alright?" Jen's mother asked who now seemed to be shorter as Jen swapped heights with her mother.
"I'm fine, I'll head to the bus now." Jen said as she walked off.
