TFO - Transmogrification Fixation Online

Virtual Reality technology has come a long way in recent years. What started as people just putting screens in front of their eyes and fumbling around their rooms had evolved to a point where you could insert yourself into your dream world almost whenever you wanted. With the help of special headsets the body is put into a sleep-like state while the mind is uploaded into the internet, where all senses are perfectly replicated to fool it into believing you truly are standing in a magical meadow, for example.

It wasn't even a question that this technology made online games more popular than ever. There was a virtual online game for almost anything, RPGs, Shooter, Racing etc. Obviously this included more, let's say, raunchy types of games. Even if these games for 18+ audiences were much harder to find, they each had their own dedicated fanbases.

One such, rather niche, game was “Transmogrification Fixation Online”, abbreviated as TFO. This adult-oriented game focused on sending players on an exciting, often-times sexual journey that fulfills as many fetishes as possible, the main focus being transformations and everything related to it. The game world featured a unique blend of sci-fi, fantasy and everything in between to cover as many kinks as possible. They're even constantly adding more through updates and expansions.

The game featured a very deep class and ability system. Your physical and mental state had a huge effect on what you could do in combat and special forms often came with special abilities. On top of that, many of the game’s transformations could be stacked on top of each other to create even more unique forms with the respective skills often synergizing in interesting ways. There were quite a number of people who dedicated themselves to discovering as many combinations as possible, which might lead to some very obscure or even grotesque bodies at times. Even if you didn’t like a form and quickly reverted, just experiencing it often gained you at least an exclusive passive ability tied to it.

Of course several security measures were in place to ensure the health of the players. Logging out was possible at all times, even when the body is in an unmovable state, like petrification (though in those cases the log out process would take considerably longer to keep as much immersion as possible). Mental changes (which caused quite the controversy when first introduced) would also not carry over into the real world. That's on top of the usual safety systems, like a forced logout when your body was in a critical state. You could even set a timer beforehand in case you needed to leave at a specific time. When entering the game you’re also always given the choice between the body you had at the start of your play session and the one you ended it with, as well as the default body. The last option was rarely used due to there being many ways to transform back into a human form in-game.

Due to all of this the game was popular among gamers, roleplayers and TF-enthusiasts alike. Mae Renz was part of the latter group. Until now she usually kept it to following artists and writers on the internet, but after some urging by her best friend and roommate Natalie she finally got TFO for herself.

The character creation went by fairly quick, only her in-game name was necessary. She entered her usual internet name “MaRe”. Once done she immediately spawned in the middle of a wide plaza in the starting town. First thing she did was send her friend, who went by the in-game name “60Nain”, a message that she was ready. Natalie had promised to take Mae to some of her favorite places for her first play session.

While waiting for a reply MaRe looked at her appearance in a near window. What she saw was a perfect recreation of Mae’s real life body, blonde hair, green eyes and perfectly average everything. Aside from that she wore some standard Lv1 adventurer gear. The reason why character creation was so fast in TFO was because it used sensors built into the VR-system to create a copy of the player’s body in the game. If they wanted to change something of their appearance or play a different race they needed to find the right transformation, that was the main draw of the game after all. With such a painfully average body as hers, Mae found it no wonder that she became interested in transformations. A small part of her was hoping that she wouldn't recognize herself at the end of today’s session.

With a ping she got the reply of 60Nain. It included detailed instructions of the safest way to where she was waiting for MaRe.

60Nain is waiting for her…
