"Hey, hear this one! It sounds like a fortune cookie: "You surround your friends forever."
"Shouldn't (tweet tweet) that be (tweet-tweet) "You shall be surrounded by your friends forever (Tweet-tweet)?" Toby asked as his hairs transformed into downy feathers and he began to moult as new permanent feathers sprouted.
"That's what it says, oooh, it's changing,it says, oh-oh! "YOU ARE NOW THE NEW CITY ZOOLOGICAL PARK." Oh, that canno--" Lissi stopped in mid sentence as the room vanished and the game board dropped on to a fresh mown lawn.
"Tweet-lissi-tweet?" Toby asked.
Ryan moaned and struggled to sit up he'd landed on his bottom, when his chair vanished. And it apparently solid stone had sunk deep into the soft turf. He found that he could no longer open his lips.
"Ah, there's my birdy. Time to get back in your cage, Miss Toby," the zookeeper called gently. He grabbed Toby by the neck, even though he was still partly human and began to forcefully escort him to his new cage. As he walked passed the grey stone sculpture buried in the lawn he muttered, "Realism, ptah!"
The game waited for others to play.
