Scott turned to see a man in a white coat. "Scott! You're awake. Usually we like to be there for your first self-appraisal. It can be jarring. How are you feeling? I'm Dr. Glasgow by the way." The man said.
"Well... not good." Scott said, matter-of-factly.
"I suppose that's a reasonable statement." Dr. Glasgow grimaced. "However, I'm here to make sure you're set to leave. Unfortunately we have many more Swap cases to handle. We'll need this room if you are quite alright."
"Of course, that makes sense. However, this is kind of a shock to the system. You expect me to just head out into the world like this?" Scott balked.
"Well... yes. You were given clear instructions before the procedure right?" The Doctor asked.
"No, they just masked me up and I went under!" Scott yelped, his voice cracking.
"Oh, damn those interns. Here's the short version: all belongings and accounts etcetera now belong to Luke. Essentially every asset you owned or controlled, was transferred to his name. He has your body, and everything else involved. To safeguard you as a now vulnerable "minor-bodied, adult-mind" case, you have been remanded into the care of the Redmond parents. They have agreed to care for you as their son, so long as you remain a minor. You will retain your original name, but essentially you are Luke the student. They may need a new principal, but as long as you are physically, biologically a minor, the state cannot allow you to operate as an adult in most capacities. I think they even intend to enroll you at the school..." Dr. Glasgow explained.
"Enroll me?! I can't be a student. I have a masters! I am an educator, it would be preposterous!" Scott exclaimed.
"Well, they are entitled to do with you as they see fit. You are a minor, legally. Look, the Redmond's are waiting in the lobby to take you to your new home. Some of Luke's, or rather, your clothes, has been put on the night stand by your bed. Please dress and depart! We have more folks to Swap!" Dr. Glasgow commanded, gruffly.
Scott just stared, aghast at this further insult. He realized, in a sinking feeling, that he had lost total control of his life.
