Apparently the old guild where Alex's skills had been backstory-trained had been disbanded by someone from a rival gang breaking in with a soft-vored small army of thieves. With a last checkover for some traveling supplies, money, and food, Alex stretched his paws and went outside, locking the door behind him. Outside, it was a soft comfortable night, one cottage in far fields at the edge of Town-on-River where people might not go looking. Astereon's constellations of great beasts lit the evening, and Cherabe's shadows provided warm intuition of where it was safe to hide (which right now, was pretty much everywhere). Tilting his ears a bit, Alex looked around into the dark night and didn't detect any particular happenings. Just a soft wind in the grasslands, the river in the distance, and the crescent moon high in the sky.
