“Okay.... let’s make it more appropriate for a mall...” he muttered as he typed. "The area around here is pretty modern, so maybe this will work." He thought as he began to delete a word.
Unbeknownst to him, he slide just far enough into the store for him to register as one of the inhabitants of the shop to be transformed. Jason the selected the word "farmers" changing to into "teenagers" with a smirk, thinking that the mall didn't really need another store like that. He laughed, hit enter, then looked up to examine the results. Sadly, it was all still the same?
Behind the counter the same black woman stood ready to help her customer. She still had her big puff hairstyle, her crimson jacket, her name tag, and a smattering of jewelry all over. She quickly zipped her jacket as to show less cleavage, seemingly embarrassed as to have been showing so much for a woman of her age. Strange since she seemed no older than 30. She then started speaking with the next customer in line.
Up at the other side of the register was the same brunette girl looking to purchase some high heels. She was about 18 with a curvy, stunning figure. Jason jumped, dropping not only his phone but his books and backpack as well. He nearly dropped his glasses, but kept them on his face as he scrambled to clean up his mess.
"Oh I'm terribly sorry kid, didn't mean to scare you." The other worker apologized. Jason looked up at the man. He was a tall black man, who was close in age to the cashier. Jason wondered briefly if they were married, but then remembered that he needed to focus on getting his stuff. He could feel his face turn red, he could feel the eyes in the store stare at him.
"Come on Jason you're 15, stop letting this stuff bug you so much." He mumbled under his breath as he gathered the last of his things.
"I'm sorry, what was that?" The man asked.
"Oh, uh-uh nothing. I'm fine! Fine sorry, sorry!" He spat out before running off.
Jason kept a brisk jog until he was sure he was out of sight. He sighed, leaning up against a wall.
"I don't even know why I went in there... I'm no good with that sorta stuff." He mumbled, wiping his slightly pimply face. "Shoot, I gotta meet up with mom and dad in a few minutes." He remembered. "I wonder if I should show them the app."
