A shake and a roll, the pair of black dice landed at the rims of the pot and resulted in two and three. Five in total and 145 tiles to go before Gary wins. He grabbed his ornate silver horse piece and dragged it to the fifth tile which is a blue tile. This means, the card will decide what attributes are to be swapped, but that would leave him the choice of who to swap with.
Gary gulped, his fingers are now resting on the top of the blue deck. With what happened to Will, he wished that the card would not point to something drastic like his own penis or face. Maybe he could part with his fingernails since he is too lazy to cut them. He gulped once more, as he laid the card for everyone to see.
"Hair Color,"
"Phew," Gary breathed a sigh of relief. Hair Color is one of the few things he can part with since he already tried various hair colors in the past. And by various hair colors, it is just a temporary hair color spray the barber would give him after every haircut. Mr. Higgins would give all sorts of colors like green, pink, or red. It's a full three days of change before the hair color would fade with the wash. But it's also worth three days of awe and attention from his classmates. His hair may already be unique because of its natural auburn color, but what about green that glows in the dark. That would nab someone's attention and live free in their minds for an entire day. Some people would even call him Rainbow Gary because of this. As such, changing one's hair color is just a normal thing to do. And so, he picked Peter his dark-brown hair.
Peter, on the other hand, is left unbothered. To be honest, he kind of expected that Gary would pick him. Gary would not pick Lou because they have the same hair color. So, it's either him or Will.
The Blue card from Gary's grasp sprung in the air. Colorless tentacles appeared from the card back and wrapped themselves on the top of Gary and Peter's heads. Colors drained from top to bottom, with Gary's hair turning from auburn to dark-brown and vice versa for Peter. The change is good for Gary. The dark hair really suits his pale complexion. But not for Peter who got a slight tan from lounging on the beach for the good part of the start of summer. And now he knows why it is difficult for gingers to get a tan. Because getting one looks a bit weird. Nevertheless, it ain't that bad. Or so he thinks. The change of hair color served as fuel to Will's childish banter.
"You got no soul," Will laughed.
"And you have no dick, retard." Peter laughed hard, which placed Will in an embarrassing spot.
With that done, Peter grabbed the dice from the floor and rolled it to the tile of his destination.
