Transform or Dare?

East Hampton School of Gaining

Jennifer waddled through campus, glancing at her furry classmates and trying to remember who or what they used to look like. She started to notice that anyone who wasn’t absolutely fat was absolutely muscular instead. This was apparently a world where anthropomorphic mammals were obsessed with gaining weight either through fat or muscle, with hardly any in between. She would question Kyle’s weird tastes if she didn’t find herself being oddly okay with it. She also took notice of the musky, sweaty odor that permeated the area, and how she could discern vaguely where each scent came from. She would be disgusted by it as a human, but as a dog she didn’t seem to mind. Probably because, as she also noticed, people would occasionally sniff each other’s butts like the animals they were.

“Now, if I know my squad,” Jennifer scratched her chin, “they would be hanging out near the bleachers by now, which means... BOOM! There they are!” She hustled her chubby butt over to her squad, who in the old world were her closest friends from the cheer team.

Jennifer was cheer captain, who we know is now a fat, 350 pound golden retriever. Then there was Susan, her oldest friend who was a similarly fat squirrel girl in this world. Trisha was a moderately chubby 200 pound tabby cat, and was the team sweetheart (incidentally not involved with pantsing Kyle the other week.) The other three members of the squad, Samantha (a harlequin rabbit), Amanda (a German Shepard), and Wendy (a Clydesdale horse), in order of wiry-est to swoll-est were the muscle jacked members of the team.

“Jen! There you are!” Susan exclaimed, “I told you guys she’d make it! What happened, girl? You’re usually never this late!”

“Long story,” Jennifer explained, “I was looking for my cheer uniform this morning when that dweeb we pantsed the other week called me!”

“I told you not to do that, you guys,” Trisha scolded, “He was clearly super upset if he phoned our captain because of it!”

“What was his name again?” Samantha asked, “Korey or something?”

“Kyle I think,” Wendy clarified, “The weird, scrawny, hairless ape boy with a ginger afro that covers his eyes.”

“Yeah that’s the guy!” Jennifer nodded, “Umm... except I think I used to be a scrawny hairless ape before now... probably all of us?”

“You’re kidding,” Amanda balked, “You’re telling me that there’s a naked ape version of me who isn’t buff as fuck?”

“Or a me who isn’t fat?” Trisha asked, “That would be horrible!”

“So that weird freshman got you to believe in multiverse theory?” Susan inquired, “That’s the dumbest revenge plot I’ve ever heard of!”

“Probably?” Jennifer cocked her head, “Get this though, he tried using the town curse on me... maybe I really was a naked skinny ape and he used it to alter my perception of reality?”

“That’d probably make more sense,” Susan nodded, “Of course, I definitely don’t remember any of us being apes, let alone scrawny and hairless. As long as I’ve known you, you’ve always been a fat golden retriever, and I’ve always been your fat squirrelly bestie.”

“That... I think I remember it a little like both?” Jennifer shrugged, “It’s probably nothing to worry about. Can’t believe I’m saying this, but I don’t think I want to skip too much of our classes today. What’s our schedules again?”

“Well,” Wendy began, “Sam, Amy, and I are taking the Muscle course, so we go to the weight room to lift first thing in the morning.”

“The rest of us are in the Obesity course,” Trisha added, “so our first class is culinary arts, followed by brunch, then pre-calculus, then literature, an extended lunch period, social studies, biology, and finally tea before our extracurricular classes.”

“Huh... that’s a lot of eating,” Jennifer exclaimed.

“Gotta eat a lot to get fat, girl,” Susan reasoned, “The muscle heads here still eat a lot, but not as much as us fatties.”

“Gotta feed them gains, bitch!” Amanda declared.

“You know it, bitch!” Samantha added. Both of the dog girls glared at her. “What’d I do wrong?”

“Only dogs can call each other bitch,” Amanda explained.

“That was really insensitive of you,” Jennifer added.

“Sorry, won’t let it happen again,” Samantha sighed.

“It’s okay,” Amanda nodded, “We can sniff each other and make up later. We should get to class now.”
