“Let’s go to the sandbox.” Jeff exclaimed as both Dustin and Tiffany agreed. They then waddled towards the sandbox, where they sat there and began to play. Jeff and Tiffany molded some stuff with their hands, whereas Dustin used some of the sand toys that were piled there. Jeff was delighted of having a break like this after having to deal with so much homework from his school before the whole regression thing happened. He then saw Tiffany as she stopped playing for a little bit and checked her phone.
“What’s wrong Tiffany?” He asked her. “I’m just looking up on what’s going on lately and how everyone is reacting.” “Like what?” Jeff wondered. “There’s been a lot of wacky stuff happening lately and what’s odd is that it occurred in the past few hours. For instance, toilets have disappeared around the world, and that was when I started to notice something before I’ve became smaller. Then there had been a lot of robot servants that appeared in people’s houses. Along with schools and community centers turning into daycares. All while I saw a bunch of toddlers without any parents that were playing in the streets.”
“Well, it could be worse. At least something terrible didn’t happen where it got people hurt.” Dustin interrupted her as she was speaking. “Yeah, I guess you’re right. Although I am worried what the world might be like if it’s only populated by toddlers later on.” She added. “Here. Take this sucker. It’ll help relieve your stress for now.” Dustin pulled out a pacifier from one of his pockets.
“I’m not sure. I don’t feel like it’s best for me.” Tiffany protested. “Trust me. I used one before and it helped me.” Dustin suggested. “I said I don’t want one. Okay?!” She then started crying as Jeff was concerned over his friend being sad and tried to comfort her. “Tiffany, what’s wrong?” He asked her. “I’m upset over all of this. It’s madness, I tell you.” She said as she was still crying.
“Tiffany, it’s going to be all okay. This is not anyone’s fault, especially you.” He then tried to hug her to calm her down. “Really?” She asked. “Yeah. You shouldn’t feel embarrassed about it at all.” Jeff told her as she eventually calmed down. “Thanks for that, Jeffy. It’s just that I feel uncertain from what’s going on right now.” She told him. “You’re welcome. I mean you could tell us anything if you want if it’s bothering you.”
“Alright. If I tell you guys this, do you promise that you won’t laugh?” She asked them. “We promise.” Both Dustin and Jeff said in response. “Okay. So, when I was younger, I used to be a bedwetter. On the week of Halloween one year, there was a rumor going around in my grade school saying that I wet my bed. Some mean kids decided to pull a prank on me while I was on my way to class. When I got to the room, a couple of them jumped up to me and thrown a bunch of fake spiders from their pockets. I started to cry to the point where I peed myself and everyone in the class started laughing at me. I then ran away to the girls’ room and I sat in the corner before a teacher saw me and took me to the nurse’s office where I got my pants changed. After that, my dad picked me up from school and I stayed in my room before dinner. The kids who initiated the prank got suspended for a few days after that.”
After hearing her story, Dustin and Jeff were shocked that something like that happened to her. “Geez, Tiffany. That sucks.” Dustin said.
“Yeah, I wish we could’ve helped you out after that.” Jeff agreed as they continued to play on the sandbox for a while. That is until they felt bored with playing there and figured on what to do next.
