Ty and Dustin had come over to Allen’s house, where Peter and Allen were waiting for them. After they had arrived, Dustin picked up Allen’s football, which was laying on the floor in the garage, and he had invited Allen to toss the ball on the large field besides his house.
At one point, Dustin challenged Allen to get ready to run so that he could catch Dustin’s long overhead pass. As Allen began to run, Dustin extended his arm completely behind him, before he hurled the football towards Allen. Unfortunately, there was a large oak tree standing near the spot where Allen was running, and the ball hit the tree, bounced off a branch, and landed in between two thin branches where the two ends joined together like a wishbone.
“Oh no! My ball!” Allen shouted, when he realized that the football was stuck between two branches.
Allen, Peter, Ty and Dustin walked over to the tree and looked up, where they spotted the lost football. The ball was stuck at least 20 feet from the ground.
“Well, I could try to climb the tree and try to knock the ball loose with another branch or something…” Dustin suggested.
“No… I think we can use a little magic to get the ball down…” Ty remarked.
“I know! We can use Peter!” Allen exclaimed.
“What do you want me to do?” Peter wondered, anticipating another transformation, thanks to Allen’s power.
“Come here and stand right under the branch where my ball is!” Allen ordered.
Of course, Peter loved the feeling of being transformed, and willingly stood right under the branch where the ball was hanging.
“I’m gonna blow you up, except for your arms and your head!” Allen said out loud.
“Huh? You’re gonna do what? Whoa!” Peter shouted, when he felt a strange tingle in his stomach.
Peter’s body immediately began to transform into a layer rubber. From the neck down, his body turned into a large balloon, except for the arms and hands.
His legs fused together as his chest, stomach, and his legs began to expand as air was magically being pumped inside of him! Within moments, Peter’s body started to rise up and he began to float in a horizontal position above the ground, with his stomach pointing towards the floor!
“Wow! I’m a balloon!” he shouted, while he noticed that he was slowly gaining altitude.
“You’re very creative, Allen!” Ty said, complimenting his best friend on his use of his new powers, while they stood and watched as Peter started to float higher from the ground, while his body continued to expand while filling up with more air.
Peter was almost 8 feet long and his body was 4 feet wide, as he slowly drifted higher from the ground, while hovering near the branches of the tree, where the lost football was stuck.
Peter moved his arms around while trying to steer his body closer to the branch, where the ball was sitting. When he got close enough, he was able to reach out with his arm, and tap the football with his hand, allowing the ball to come loose and to fall to the ground. Ty extended his arms and caught the falling ball before it could hit the ground.
“Alright! We can play some more football!” Ty cheered, as he and Dustin ran back to the field where there were no trees.
“Hold on, guys! I gotta take care of Peter!” Allen shouted.
Allen turned and stared at Peter, who was floating around at an altitude of about twenty feet.
“I want you to slowly deflate, Peter!” Allen shouted.
Peter opened his mouth, and suddenly felt a rush of air escaping from inside of his big, rubber body! While his body continued to shrink, he suddenly found himself losing altitude quickly.
Within moments, Peter was floating just a few feet from the ground, when he dropped to the grass beneath him, landing flat on his stomach.
“So, how did that feel, huh?” Allen asked him.
Allen extended his hand and reached out to Peter, who grabbed hold of him with his right hand. As soon as Allen pulled him up, Peter was back on his own two feet again, with his body now completely returned to normal.
“Whew! That was interesting!” Peter chuckled, as he wiped the grass from his legs, shorts and t-shirt. “It was a nice day for a balloon ride!”
“Yes! I’m taking you to the gym later, so get ready for some more muscle along the way!” Allen laughed.
“Hey!” Peter shouted, as he noticed his pectorals inflating rapidly, leaving him with his chest expanding and his shoulders widening. Allen allowed the growth to stop when his chest was almost twice as wide as it was before.
“Come on, big guy!” Allen chuckled, as he stared at his muscular buddy. “Let’s join Ty and Dustin for some football!”
The two ran off to join Ty and Dustin!
