Greg scanned the description skeptically. No way it could do what it said, Sure, that guy had the long beard and the pointy hat. He looked the part of a wizard, for sure. He'd even disappeared in a puff of smoke. But this was just ridiculous.
Greg had already downloaded it anyway, after all, he had nothing better to do until five. Getting ahead of his deadlines would only lead to more work and higher expectations. Better to play things out until the last day. So it was time to fuck around, and if possible look busy. When the app opened, it showed him a camera display with high-contrast black outlines. He pointed it at the monitor of his work computer, and tapped the screen.
“A half finished banner advertisement for quality moving services is open on the computer.”
Quality, huh? It's true this client was paying well, maybe they were doing good business. Greg had never cared much about the clients they made ads for. Just another boring job. Anyway what was that, a countdown? Two, one, zero... Greg realized he had to change a word. He needed to really.
His degree was in video production. It'd be nice if he could use it.
“A half finished television advertisement for quality moving services is open on the computer.”
The word “hesitation” flashed on the screen for a fraction of a second, and the sentence changed again.
“A half finished television advertisement for quality oral services is open on the computer.”
Greg's eyes defocused for a split second. After, the old Photoshop document with the photo of the truck was replaced by a thirty second video featuring a highly graphic clip of a thin brunette with a silver stud in her tongue energetically deepthroating a man's pornstar-quality cock. A nametag on her professional-looking red collared shirt identified her as 'Alyssa'. A recorded voiceover accompanied the lurid scene.
“The best part of this job is being able to make people happy every day. I know that every member of the Marie Cayman team is passionate about giving oral pleasure, and we're the best at what we do.” A more mature voice replaced 'Alyssa', as the video cut to the same Alyssa delicately tonguing the pristine, tan asshole of a businesswoman bent over her desk. “Call now to make a private appointment, or book us for weddings, events, and business functions. Oral by Marie Cayman, a Fellatrix company.”
A quick google search revealed that this new client was not only a popular and well reviewed source for intimate services for parties, gatherings, and high class functions of all kinds, but that they were only the foremost local provider in a broad and competitive industry. There was even a receipt in Greg's own email archive from when he'd booked a similar service for a good friend's bachelor party.
Greg couldn't help but be aroused by the recent change in his work assignment, and the video he apparently had edited together, though he didn't remember doing it, but more importantly he was terrified. Here was a simple piece of software, no wore than a few megabytes, that could change the world in sweeping and unpredictable ways. What's more, it was impatient, capricious, and, if the last interaction was anything to go by, horny. Greg understood now why the wizard had been laughing when he handed him that card.
Still, the potential was staggering. He could make himself rich, attractive, and never work another day. He could solve world hunger and cure diseases. He tapped at the screen like he was handling a bomb, resolved to discover its secrets. He could bring up an options menu, but it was all greyed out and locked. Curiously, he couldn't find any reference to the full version of this 'free trial'. He could bring up a history page, but he couldn't do anything with it. He could swap to the front-facing camera, he could --- “Hey Greg!”
Shaken, he dropped the phone, and reflexively grabbed for it on the desk. His hand brushed the screen.
Claire from Sales was eyeing the video clip paused on his monitor, amused, as she rolled her neck and stretched her shoulders.”Coming along, I see. Damn, she makes that look good,” she commented. Greg was stunned when he saw what he had accidentally tapped, and read the sentence now displayed. The 'Hesitation' countdown ticked towards zero.
