That crippled old man in that disturbingly tacky wizard costume gave him this 'free trial' of some app after being the 1000th customer of the year, in November. A bit of pity for the old man since 100 customers in just under a year must suck but regardless, it was a really weird situation that he found himself in yesterday.
Marcus looked at the app in question and really found it weird. He read the instructions and knew how it worked, or claimed to work as even he doubted its authenticity. Even still, it was a rather elaborate joke regardless.
So looking at it, decided to open the app and see what would exactly happen if he played along with the app. He was on his way to school, the autumn breeze blowing past him with the cold of winter coming. Wearing a hoodie and jeans, it wasn't the most impressive outfit.
Looking at the app, it generated a sentence and above the sentence was a circle with 7 in it. The 7 began to countdown until it was 6, then 5 and so on instil it reached 0. Once that happened, a red banner with hesitated in it was at the top of the screen.
Marcus could seevthat this is what the instructions meant by a hesitation timer, and after reading the instructions, knewvthat it would apparently change another word in the sentence, which Marcus realised he hasn't actually read yet.
Looking towards the sentence, Marcus found it to be a rather blank sentence.
"A 16 year old boy is walking on a normal windy day."
It admittedly was a rather vague sentence that doesn't give too much away. It's still a little surprising how accurate the sentence was to Marcus at the current moment. Perhaps the strangest thing about it is how it got his age correct, while the other parts of the sentence could be explained by having location on or just being rather vague. If this app was really magical like that geezer said, this helped its case.
Choosing to just go with changing the windy part of the sentence to snowy, he clicked save which cause hesitation to flash across the screen and show that it had changed boy to girl. Thinking nothing of it, Marcus placed his phone in his pocket and looked up towards the street, which caused his jaw to drop.
All around Marcus, instead of clear roads and paths, was a thin layer of snow, which continued to trickle down from the sky. At that point, a realisation hit 'her'.
If changing windy to snowy did that, the that means... Marcus was now a girl.
Groping her chest, while not obvious from the an outsiders perspective, she was now wearing a bra on what seemed to be B cup breasts. Opening up the camera on her phone, which was the same as before, she found her face similar, but a little more feminine and softer. Her hair was longer then before but still manageable and her clothes were more tight fitting but still had the same design. For being a female version of her male body, it wasn't all too different.
Perhaps the weirdest thing about it all were the memories and thoughts. Most of the memories were the same except a few things like her first menstrual cycle and certain relationships. One odd thing that surprised Marcus, or Melissa was the new name that felt more comfortable then the old one. The name Marcus felt foreign, while the name Melissa seemed more comfortable then before. The only other thing she seemed to take notice of, was a more prominent attraction to boys, while girls were still hot or cute, didn't seem to attract her attention anymore unlike boys.
It really was perplexing the whole situation, which began to take up a considerable amount of time as Melissa realised she was going to be late. Which caused her to run as to avoid being late.
Fortunately, she arrived on time before first period and found her seat near the back. Her mind thinking of the app earlier which caused a huge change in reality. She then thought that perhaps she could use it again and saw a perfect opportunity when class started.
