Jayden, a teen with short shaggy brown wearing a tee-shirt and jeans, stands at the gates of Terra Falls Academy.
Jayden considers himself a fairly manly person, he’s not a jock or anything but he’s definitely never been the last person picked for a sports team or anything. Yet despite his relative self-confidence, he finds himself hesitating as he looks over the old abandoned school, Terra Falls Academy.
Gulping, he thinks over what he knows of the academy. He can’t exactly remember how long it’s been abandoned but he knows no one in their right mind actually travels through the place, especially not since the last group of internet streamers posing as ‘Pro Ghost Hunters’ ran out screaming for their mums after they tried to ‘solve the mysterious of Terra Falls’ as they put it.
Well, one might wonder why exactly Jayden is even anywhere near this place... and well that’s for precisely one reason.
“What are you doing just standing there, Jayden? You backing out on the dare already?” Said Adam, the ringleader of Jayden’s group of ‘friends’. He’s fairly lean but a fast runner and reasonably athletic and probably the tallest of the group. Considers himself something of a ‘mastermind’ and tends to lead others into various situations.
“Yeah, don’t be a wuss Jayden. It’s just an old building,” continues George, a large muscular jock whos
“Yeah, the odds of there being anyway are approximately zero to seven-eight-nine-five-one.... so uh. What George,p said, don’t be a wuss Jayden,” finishes Roger, the designated ‘nerd’ who is only allowed by Adam to hang around because he’s fine with everyone copying his schoolwork.
Jayden takes a deep breath and recalls how he came to this situation in the first place. Jayden and the other boys had been messing around online when Roger spotted a video about the top haunted spots in the state which had the unforgettable image of Terra Falls Academy on the thumbnail. This got them all talking about the place and about how stupid all these ghost hunters are and so forth. However somehow things got to the point where Adam dared Jayden to break into the old place.
At first Jayden had tried to laugh it off as a joke, but suddenly George stepped in and backed up Adam, saying a ‘true man’ wouldn’t balk at a challenge like this. And Roger just went with the majority and merely ‘helpfully’ reminded Jayden there is no definitive proof of the existence of ghosts.
Gulping, he briefly turns to glance at his friends. Adam is giving him his trademarked smug smirk. George still has his arms crossed but gives a small nod of encouragement. Roger meanwhile gives a shaky smile with a thumbs up and mouths ‘you got this buddy’.
Signing, Jayden begins to climb up the chained up gate, soon finding himself on the other side.
“Holy shit he actually did it. The absolutely mad man over here guys!” Shouts Adam from behind, but Jayden elects to ignore him and instead fumbles for his phone and activates the flashlight function
He ventures into the first building as the chatter of his friends dies down, climbing in through an old window which seemed to have fallen off.
He finds himself in a reception area along with a large map of won at sections of the school this room connects to and how to get there, thinking it over here decides on...
