The Chronivac dinged, and Sally walked over and gave Jeff's furry head a rub, carefully putting a new leather collar around the neck of her new doggy.
The physical changes mostly completed, Jeff felt a sudden headache. The same way Sally had started to develop human mannerisms, canine instincts were taking further root in Jeff's brain. While his human memories were still there, the canine instincts were in the forefront of his mind.
"I want you to have the full experience, boy," Sally told him. "How about we head out to the backyard? You can test those legs of yours."
That sounded like fun. He nodded eagerly. Sally grabbed a ball and urged him out the back door. "This is going to be one of your favorites," she said, enthusiastically. She threw the ball. "Go get it, boy."
Without even thinking, Jeff went bounding after the ball at full speed. He grabbed it in his mouth and hurried back, dropping the ball at Sally's feet.
"Again?" She asked.
He nodded.
She threw it, and he bounded after it, returning it to her. He looked up at her, hoping his master would throw it again.
