Her shoes popped off as her feet swelled out of them and she fell to the ground.
"Mom!!" Jasmine called, trying to help her up, but finding herself unable to. Her mother was just too heavy. Her mother laid on the ground, struggling to get up, but finding herself unable to. Fiona raised up a hand...her hands were so swollen, they looked like blocks.
Neither of them were looking at the sedan next to them. The nuts that held the wheels on seemed to be loosening themselves. If they had, they would have rapidly realized this was not just some sort of weird allergic reaction.
"I'm calling an ambulance..." Jasmine said, starting to reach into her purse for her phone.
She heard a thumping noise, and dropped the purse, nearly getting hit by a tire, then another, that seemed to be rolling toward her mother. The four tires rolled toward her hands and legs, and somehow locked into place on her swollen appendages, the nuts returning to the holes in which they belonged before being covered up by the hubcaps.
It was a strange sight for Jasmine to behold. Her mother was now several inches above the ground, suspended on 4 wheels.
