Jess hands Mary the shrinking-size vial. Mary looks at it and shrugs. She would have preferred an animal change, but she could live with this. Uncorking the vial, Mary lifts it to her lips and prepares to take just a small swig.
Suddenly Jess' hand is there pushing the bottom end of the vial all the way up, sending most of the contents down into Mary. Sputtering, Mary looked sharply at Jess, who had a smirk on her face.
"Why did you do that, Jess?" Mary asked, already beginning to shrink. Her voice became higher pitched the smaller Mary shrank.
"Because it's high time you paid for your wrongs against me." Jess replied, obviously enjoying the sight of Mary shrinking. Mary wasn't all that tall to begin with and it didn't take long for her to reach four feet and less. Mary's body was shrinking, but her clothes were not. They became very baggy quickly. Her pants and underwear fell down when she became too small to keep them up.
The shrinking was making it difficult for Mary to keep her balance and tripped on her clothes, she fell onto her bottom. Still she shrank, three feet tall, then two feet. Mary was getting very worried. She had drunk most of the vial. How small would she get?
Jess flopped down Indian-style on the floor in front of Mary and watched her closely as she continued to shrink. Before long, Mary had become only four inches tall. It was then that the change seemed to slow and stop. She was surrounded by masses of fabric, hidden under her own shirt like it was some giant canopy.
