Liam was sitting in math class, bored as usual. His teacher, Mr Miller, droning on about some equation or something as usual. The last thing Liam was was interested. He’d been scribbling in his workbook, little doodles, stick figures, writing random words, pretty much anything that wasn’t numbers.
At one point, maybe ten minutes into the lesson, Liam wrote something in his book that would change the course of the whole lesson,
‘Someone please save me from an eternity of boredom’
Liam wrote this idly, he didn’t think much of it, he was actually about to scribble out the little note he made, but before he could:
Thwap!
A piece of scrunched up paper hit Liam square between the eyes, dropping onto his book. He quickly looked around the classroom, everybody was looking ahead at the teacher, or looking down, pretty much doing what Liam was doing. He looked to his friend Frank, who he expected to have thrown the paper. Frank was notorious for not being able to hide a smirk or a smile, but his face was blank, empty.
Liam was confused, but he just shrugged it off, maybe it had a cool drawing inside it.
He unfolded the paper, trying not to cause too much noise, he got one black haired girl to look back at him, she sighed at him before turning back to her desk. Liam rolled his eyes, ‘goth’, he thought to himself, maybe she’d actually be hot if she’d stop dressing like a vampire.
The paper was open, he read it, it was a unique handwriting, not one you’d expect to see from a student in high school. It read:
“Liam Parks,
I received your message, as a gift from myself, I am granting you potentially infinite power over time, you will be able to speed up, slow down, make time go in reverse or completely stop time all together but only the confines of your lesson. Once this lesson ends, all effects will be removed and nobody will remember what happened. Feel free to go wild, it’s your power now.

‘Who the hell is Rose?’ Liam thought to himself, ‘and who the hell knows my last name. This is definitely something Frank set up to mess with him.
Liam thought it was a clever idea, thought out well, realistic, almost. But Liam wasn’t stupid, he wasn’t falling for some three wishes crap. ‘if this is real why doesnt time just stop right now' Liam thinks.
Then Liam felt a feint wave of energy as everything in the class froze. the papr airplane some kid had just thrown was floating mid air, the teacher was just standing still, everything was frozen.
