Despite the multitude of questions that are bubbling around in his mind, Jayden decides there isn't any harm in playing a few games with her. He's in a pretty strange and unexpected situation and he's probably overthinking things because of it. Not only that, but it's rather difficult to say no to an attractive girl who seems super happy to play games with him. Besides, his friends would never let him hear the end of it if he came out so soon. Especially if they found out that he walked away from an amazing opportunity like this.
Having made up his mind, he clutches his controller, turns towards Rachel and tells her to bring it on! Rachel gives him an approving nod and the both of them start playing their game. The first levels go a little slow as they still have to get used to each other's play style, but the more they play together, the more in sync they get. So much even that they don't seem to need words to figure out what the other one wants to do. They're both in the zone and are enjoying themselves tremendously.
Being in the zone can be practical when trying to beat a game, but it makes you quickly lose track of reality. That's why Jayson can't seem to notice the small changes that are starting to happen.
