Because this time, there's a magical duel about to begin. A magical duel between two people, both of whom are madly in love with you, and both of whom are going to fight to the death over you. Well, death was a strong word. You were never quite sure what happened to the losers of the magical duels, but they always reappeared intact and unharmed afterwards. Even if they ended up getting torn to shreds or swallowed whole by the other fighter.
The rules were simple. The participants alternate transforming into different things, trying to defeat the other with their new form. If it isn't working, they have to return to their base form before transforming again. They can't use something the other contestant used, either. The rules can restrict the participants to normal humans only, any animal, animals within a weight class, any size... Today's contest is open to anything in the animal kingdom, which leaves a lot of room for improvisation.
