The month of June celebrated many things, and the biggest thing was the celebration of "Pride Month" for many people, and among some of the people that came with the decision to splurge on converting to become an Animalian. One of them was Rod Tibbet who'd come down from Idaho and figured to join Animalia in a way that would be more trusted toward them. He'd long had a bit of an A type personality in many regards for years, and despite Idaho being a rather conservative state, he'd been fairly open about his sexuality for years and had actually made it through High School and even College wrestling without any real incident. Though, Rod was also the sort to think many of the competitors he'd wrestled against weren't that attractive.
Now with the pandemic easing and Horizon offering deals for "Pride Month," Rod figured that now was the time and the opportunity to try it out. He'd even been saving to have things set up in Idaho to suit his new Animalian form, to be based off of the White Rhinoceros. It was his favorite animal, in that while it was a large animal it did carry a very athletic build and outside of man, had no real predators. He'd actually started having some interest in it after the Rhino Guard was formed, even though he'd found that all of them turned out to be heterosexual, but that wasn't that much of an issue. He'd figured he could win over someone that would have interest in him. He'd actually had someone who might be willing to date him in Idaho. Though that someone wasn't quite as open as he was, and thus he had to be quiet on who that someone was.
"Well, your paperwork is in order, Mr. Tibbet," Judy commented as he looked over things and lead Rod toward one of the conversion rooms, "though, you didn't necessarily need to describe the build you would have as an Animalian."
"I just wanted make sure that I don't end up scrawny," Rod answered, "I mean... could you imagine a scrawny rhino?"
"Well, I'd imagine one that was sick and starving would look to be rather "scrawny," though that wouldn't really apply to an Animalian," Judy answered, "You'd likely have the same sort of build like all of Animalia's other Rhino Animalians."
"I just had to make sure," Rod replied with a confident shrug.
Judy noticed this but nodded as she opened the door to one of the rooms, and noted the man was confident in everything. His description of "throbbing muscles" helped give Judy some idea that Rod was gay, though she did have to respect the man's confidence. That confidence could be trouble for him in the future, as she had heard plenty of stories about the one body-builder type that became an African Elephant Animalian made a pass at Animalia's "matriarch," who already had a bond-mate, and then got "schooled" by another female Elephant Animalian who'd competed in past IAC events. She folded the papers and placed them in the pocket on the outside of her lab coat while Rod went in sat on the bed. Judy then moved to the other pocket to then collect the alcohol swab and the syringes for the Rod's doses.
"You will want to disrobe after I leave," Judy spoke as she rubbed Rod's shoulder with the alcohol swab, "you will be much bigger as a Rhino Animalian."
"That is why I picked it," Rod smiled back.
Judy nodded and then delivered the two shots with the "standard" greeting that was part of Horizon policy when it came to people joining Animalia. Rod accepted and waited politely while Judy then headed out. He could feel his body starting to get warmer, and he hurried to disrobe, as he knew that Rhinoceros Animalians, regardless of their specific species, were among the larger Animalians based on modern animals. Rod was already fairly fit and knew that becoming a larger Animalian would mean far larger size, and while he wasn't necessarily ashamed of his body, he also knew that there were laws against public nudity. Disrobing now was entirely to be ready for his new form, and Horizon would have clothing that would fit him immediately after his transformation. As he began removing his his clothing, he could also noted his skin shifting into a grayish color.
"Alright!" Rod gave a sort of cheer as he watched his gray skinned feet lengthen and with his toes both swell larger and with his toenails enlarge even more to grow into hooves at the tips of his toes.
His hair remained, though at the same time his body hair seemed to thin out while his muscle enlarged. With nothing to constrain him, Rod got to his feet as he felt a short tail grow out behind him. At the same time a wide muzzle pushed forward with two horns grown up from it as well. One horn grew forward with no problem and with a shorter horn growing behind it. It was strong and earned a confident smile. Rod smiled at it and flex in triumph.
