As the shopkeeper was doing inventory, he thought about the ring he sold to that guy just a few hours ago and wondered if he used yet. He probably turned himself into a hamster or some protein crazed jock losing his mind. The rings were powerful but unpredictable it was a miracle in itself that he got them to that stage capable of making anyone into anything, a true feat of magic even for someone of his level. Yet their randomness makes them basically useless as to land on anything truly powerful was a one in a number too high for anyone to comprehend. Then a loud metal crashing sound was heard outside his shop, using his senses he tried to figure out what was happening only to feel a power that dwarfed his as if he was a lowly weed staring at a redwood. Who could it be have his rivals join together to take him out, the magic authority coming to arrest him, multiple magical beasts looking for a meal. Before he could explore it further a bolt of lightning struck the door destroying the entire front of the store and throwing the shopkeeper to the wall. As he struggled to get himself up he saw the source of the power he sensed, a ravishingly beautiful woman stepped in wearing a tight red dress, covered in gold finery, her skinned covered in verdant green scales with crimson red claw mark patterning, a great set of wings and tail proudly showing her Draconic heritage, her face holding a gorgeous dominant expression surrounded by a crown of horns and blazing red braided hair. “Who are you?” the shopkeeper asked surprised to see such power being held in one person. “Oh how rude of you to not recognize a former customer especially one who partook in your wares not too long ago” Replied the reptilian beauty in a sultry alluring voice “then again you probably wouldn’t recognize me, I’ve gone through some changes last time we met”. As the shopkeeper tries to put it together he sudden realizes the man he sold to had just landed the jackpot of all jackpots a transformation that gave him or rather her unimaginable power. As soon as she saw the realization she spoke once more “You can call me Ekyss”. “What is it you want to turn back the ring should do that like I promised” the shopkeeper said hoping it what Ekyss was after. “Hahahahaha” Ekyss laughed then through her laughter replied gesturing to herself “you think I want to give this up, I have everything my previous life didn’t, no I am here to make sure you don’t turn me back”. Ekyss quickly grabbed the Shopkeeper’s neck raising him off the ground, the shopkeeper in response pled his case “Then you have nothing to worry about, the level of transformation to turn you back doesn’t exist, the rings are a failure no one can really replicate them, I am surprised I was able to and I am the only one who knows how to make them, your form is perfectly safe” Ekyss eyes flashed reading his mind finding only the truth her form was safe. A serene smile appeared on Ekyss as she knew her future was secured with only two leaks left to be plugged. Still holding the shopkeeper she sauntered over to the remaining rings of transformation destroying all of them. “There your done you can let me go now” the shopkeeper begged. “You think I’m just going to let you go, you know how to make these rings, it may have been a miracle for the first batch but your still too dangerous to me to be left alive” Ekyss jokingly replied to the crying shopkeeper “but you are the one you granted me this gift so I shall grant you a gift, I shall share in my power with you” she then started to stream energy into the shopkeeper. At first the shopkeeper seemed to be getting invigorated but that quickly faded as his limbs started to shrink into his body, his torso emasculate to his spine which soon started growing longer by growing more vertebrae with a metal pole developing at the base of the skull to a length of six feet with the vertebrae spiraling around to the bottom, the head elongated into a long sharp beak, the eyes enlarged into round empty sockets and the head smoothed over into a skinless dome where once was the shopkeeper there was now a golden staff decorated with a human spine curling around it topped with an oversized raven skull. Ekyss admired her new instrument of magic commenting “I shall call you Harbinger for you shall be the forebear of the great plans I have for this world”. As she started to exit the shop Ekyss could hear sirens, oh how much fun she was going to have building her new empire.
