It was Dennis, his school's bully. He was a year older than Steven. Well, before Steven suddenly grew up. He was dressed in a baseball uniform which looked pretty dirty, a baseball bat and a cap. He was a tall boy for his age, with spiky black hair and a little bit bulky body.
Steven didn't like him too much but he was still worried for him. That was house was definitely a dangerous place and he wondering why Dennis was going there. Should he warn him? But Dennis would definitely not recognize him and he could be in more troubles.
While Steven was thinking, Dennis was already in front of the house's main door. He knocked but he got no answer. He knocked again and then the door slowly opened. It was weird, but Dennis wasn't surprised at all and came in. Steven can't believe it, what's happening? Is Dennis related to that perv? Luckily for him, the door was still open and he quickly came in as well.
"Dennis?" Steven slowly said as he moved through the dark corridors. He can't barely see anything but it definitely looked like an abandoned house. Those high-tech devices and machines must be hidden somewhere, he thought as he opened a few doors.
"Where's Dennis?" Steven kept wondering as he opened several more doors, before he found out one with a mysterious green light coming from below. At the same time, he heard some voices. He can't understand a word but he recognized Dennis' voice among them.
Dennis was there, he was sure. But it was too suspicious that he slowly and carefully opened the door without making any noise. The green light was too bright that he couldn't see anything for a moment. When his sight was better, he noticed that behind the door was a ladder that goes to a hidden basement. "Of course, the secret lab is under the house." Steven thought before he started to walk down very carefully.
Two steps were enough to see what's happening without being discovered. Steven immediately recognized the perv's lab where he was caught before, and he also recognized the man wearing a white lab coat. Dennis was surprisingly next to him, like if he was his son, his nephew or something like that. He was still wearing his baseball uniform, except for his bat and his cap.
However, what caught Steven's attention was a unconscious man laying on a metal table which Steven was familiar with. Steven couldn't recognize the man, despite he seems quite familiar. Maybe is some someone from his neighborhood? A teacher from his school? Anyway, the man seemed to be in his thirties or... forties? Steven wasn't sure. Until today, all the adults seemed the same age to him, except for the really old ones, who, obviously, were the old people.
"He would be a perfect test subject." The perv told Dennis as they looked at the unconscious man. "But, are you sure about it? He's your father."
"Father?!" Steven replied, he was too surprised that almost revealed his position but he immediately covered his mouth and made a few steps behind. However, Dennis and the scientist still heard something and almost went to investigate it but, fortunately for Steven, the man started to get conscious and got their full attention. "That was a close one." Steven thought as he recovered his position.
"Mmh... my head." The man said as he recovered his senses and when he noticed that he was tied in a mysterious laboratory, he immediately freaked out. "What the hell is going on? Where am I? Why am I tied?" The scientists didn't answer any question. He took a needle full with a weird liquid and approached him. "Who... who are you? And what are you going to do with that? Stay back!! Stay back!!"
