The evenings went as well as both women imagined.
Maureen fresh from the spa returned to Liz's house where she prepared to attend the dinner party. She felt so sexy in Liz's silver dress and carefully made herself up. Liz's make-up colours were bolder than what Maureen was used to but her attitude was "Change of body, change of mind'. By the time she was finished she felt like a movie star. The ankle length dress had a slit in the skirt which showed off Maureen's legs. She wore a pair of Liz's tallest heels to maximise the effect. On the short walk to Anne-Marie's house (two houses down) she felt as if she was on the red carpet.
Liz meanwhile just felt fat in Maureen's black dress. She loved the cleavage the low cut front exposed - Liz had never been so well stacked, but she was worried the seams of the dress around her hips might come apart. Maureen really did need to loose weight. However the presence of Roger made up for any uncomfortable feelings. He had opened the door for her as she got in and out of his car and held her arm as she negotiated the steps at the restaurant entrance.
Liz had initially been concerned that an evening alone with Roger might expose her for the fraud she was. How was she going to maintain conversation with Roger over dinner without giving away her ignorance about so many facets of Maureen's night? She need not have worried, the topic of most of the conversation was around planning their next overseas trip. Fortunately Maureen and Liz had discussed this particular topic only earlier in the week. She knew Maureen was keen to go on a tour of Portugal and Spain, indeed they were destinations Liz was keen to visit herself. The conversation flowed freely as they discussed the pro's and cons of various destinations. Roger was initially keen on visiting China but Liz who had been to China and not felt comfortable was able to convince him of the merits of Iberia. To top it off the meal was delicious and Roger was a perfect gentleman. She was shocked to see it was 9.30pm when dessert was finished. Time had passed so quickly.
Maureen enjoyed her evening as well. Fortunately for her 'Liz' was not expected to know any of the other guests at the dinner party. They were Anne-Marie's colleagues form her work at the university with their spouses. That is other than the single gentleman she was seated with. He was a History professor from the university of about 60 and as Maureen soon found out recently divorced. The company was good. The meal was good and the wine was delicious. Unfortunately Maureen did not allow for the fact that she was now in a 54 kg body rather than the 90 kg body she was used to. By the time she realised she was a bit tipsy she had already given Liz's phone number to the professor who seemed enamored with her and agreed to be his date at a dinner next Friday night.
