Thinking it best to just turn around and leave, you try to turn and walk back down the hallway, but find that your hand refuses to come all the way out of the rippling glass. Panic sets in quickly, as you repeatedly try to tug your arm out, but to no avail. Frantically, you pull off one of your shoes and begin to hit the edge of the mirror with it, which succeeds in breaking the frame after several tries.
The result isn't nearly what you had hoped, as your arm is gripped by a pulling sensation and the mirror begins to draw you in. You begin to slam your shoe against the frame as hard as you can, but any damage you inflict only appears to hasten the process.
With one great rippling around your entire form, you are pulled through the mirror and out the other side. Quickly righting yourself and turning around, you see the cracks caused by your attacks on the mirror spread out from the frame and onto the suddenly quite fragile-looking surface. With a cracking noise, the mirror suddenly collapses into hundreds of tiny pieces, and you are left staring at a bare wall.
Frightened out of your wits, you turn around and survey the hall you find yourself in. Aside from the dull red door which sits in place of the beaded one, the hall is nearly a perfect mirror image of the one you had been in previously.
Collecting yourself in spite of your fear, you slip your shoe back on and try and decide what to do next.
