The Magic Shop

Don’t underestimate idiot brawn

added by RainingJustice 2 years ago O Mental

Just a few moments without the headband preserving her mental state had Terri's spine returning, her self-assuredness surging alongside an upswell of indignation. That bastard! He'd stolen her very ability to choose who she'd be! Sure, maybe as her mind started to get a bit foggy again she was liking it more than when she was all smart and anxious, but he didn't get to make those choices for her! No man told Terri Zhang what to do, and he was about to find that out the hard way.

"C'mon cutie!" she suddenly shouted, grabbing Niamh's arm in one hand and quickly yanking her towards the door. The other reached out for the nearest thing that could be used as a weapon. This turned out to be a baseball bat covered in pentagrams and satanic imagery drawn with blood. Kind of icky, if she was gonna be honest, but an icky man deserved to get hit with icky things. "We're gonna go get your money, and I'm gonna get that headband, and he's gonna get whacked real good!"

The redhead could do little bit mutter some string of shocked profanities incomprehensible beneath her accent as she was dragged along, though once they were out the door, Terri let go of her to keep a grip on the bat with both hands. Niamh did her best to keep up, but she was trailing behind - Terri's long, lissome, beautiful legs were carrying her ahead at a frightening pace as she yelled and poked her head over the crowd in search of her target.

She spotted him as he was trying to make a casual exit out of the mall, and instantly, she was set entirely upon ruining his day as badly as he'd nearly ruined theirs. The man turned around as he head her footsteps, and naturally, reached for his gun - only to have the hourglass-figured blonde close in too quickly, delivering a blow with the bat right into his arm. And while she might not have been an idiot yet, she was already starting to develop some dumb bimbo strength; shoppers turned in surprise as they heard his bones cracking.

"What the fuck is wrong with y-" He was cut off by another strike, this time smacking his head like it was the home run ball at the World Series. So much power was placed into that blow that it had him slamming his head into the floor and moaning in pain, a little bit of blood trailing out of his nose. It was evident that he wasn't about to go anywhere - not that this stopped her from getting a bit of revenge by smacking him in the back a few more times, one wallop after another.

With the final blow to his spine, the now slightly-frazzled blonde tied things up by spitting right into the back of his head. "Teach you to steal from cute girls!" she shouted, before grabbing the headband and the bag up off her defeated foe. She stood back up just in time to smirk at the out-of-breath Niamh; now bristling with more confidence than ever, she quickly stuffed the headband in the bag before slinging it over her shoulder, sliding right up to the Irish girl, and putting an arm under her back like she'd just conquered the world and saved the damsel in distress.

"Looks like I'm your hero now, huh?" She asked, a bright grin on her face as she looked down into Niamh's eyes and rested the bat on her shoulder. The girl blushed, hard, and without missing a beat Terri started leaning in for the kiss... only to be stopped as Niamh's eyes darted over to the bat, and she let out a high-pitched squeal.

"Shay begorra mother of mercy shite fookin' whiskey mate." Her beautiful green eyes were wide as dinner plates. "Ye got blood on the bat, didn't yet?"

Huh? "Well yeah, so what-" She glanced over to the bat, and finally noticed that all the demonic runs were... glowing. And moving. And that the wood was being ignited into a cold purple fire that she instinctually knew could burn the souls of mortals, scarring their very existence. "Oooo. I like purple."

"So do I, girl, but that thing-" She pointed to the bat. "That's... that's got a bloody demon trapped inside! We gotta get it back to the shop before it-" But it was already too late, as evident by the way the fires exploded outwards. Mortal blood had awakwened the sleeping entity, allowing it to burst free of its shackles in search of both prey, and a host for its unholy form. If the fog wasn't descending over her mind, Terri might have reflected on how absurdly things had escalated all from her wanting to impress her crush.
