Intrigued by these Tandy Wonder books, Jake decided to start at the very beginning. He pulled out the first book, The Boy Who Was A Girl, sat down and started to read it. To his surprise, right at the beginning it showed a teenage boy, about his age, looking at himself naked in the mirror!
The writing told him this book was aimed at children:
"Once there was a boy called Jake. Jake wasn't like most boys, because unlike most boys, he wondered why he was a boy. People would give him answers as if they were obvious- he was called 'he', he had a boy's name, he wore boy's clothes, he had a willy- but for some reason Jake felt like those weren't good enough reasons. Why wasn't he a girl? What was so different about girls, anyway?" Jake was a little surprised at the boy in the book sharing the same name as him, but he kept reading anyway.
The character in the book then went and talked to one of the older girls at school, named Phoebe, who took him to an empty classroom and explained things to him. It was several pages of the birds and the bees kind of stuff about how boys have these things called penises and girls have these things called vaginas and how sex works, and it made Jake feel weird to read, so he skipped most of it. Even so, all the graphic descriptions and drawings of naked people turned him on a bit.
He got to the end of that section of the book, and continued reading how it continued properly:
"'So that's why people say boys and girls are so different!' exclaimed Jake.
'That's right,' said Phoebe, and she noticed Jake looked sad. 'What's wrong?' she asked.
'I don't think I'm a boy,' said Jake.
He thought Phoebe was going to tell him that actually he was, but instead, she smiled. 'That's OK!' she told him. 'How would you like if I turned you into a girl?'
Jake's eyes widened. 'Can you do that?' he asked.
'Of course!' Phoebe said kindly. 'Some boys don't realize they're boys, and some girls don't realize they're girls- that's where I come in! Now, take off your clothes so I can see your body.'"
Jake felt like such a perv looking at his naked namesake in the comic, but he had a huge boner at the concept of this boy turning into a girl- and his mind was wandering to the concept of HIM turning into a girl. He undid his pants and started stroking his shaft as he turned the page and saw a series of drawings of the boy becoming a girl:
"Jake smiled as Phoebe made his body start to change. His flat chest grew into large soft boobs, that felt warm and jiggly. His willy moved up into him, and soon between his legs there was a vagina, which started to feel wet. And in her head she realized he was not a boy, she was a girl. She smiled as she noticed all the other ways she'd changed to become female, like her hands and feet having shrunk, her voice being higher and her hair growing longer.
'Thank you, Phoebe!' she said. 'I feel wonderful!'
'I'm glad!' said Phoebe. 'You look really pretty! Do you know what you want to call yourself?'
'Yes,' said the girl. 'My name is Jade.'"
Jake closed the book and blushed at the realization of just how much that had turned him on. He had to read more of these Tandy Wonder books. Maybe if he did, he'd become like Jade...
