The flash of the camera blinded Emily who was still blinking away spots when the Polaroid photo finished developing.
Squinting and holding the photograph up to a nearby lamp Emily tried to decipher what would develop, what would happen to her boyfriend.
“Woah! My mind feels much clearer!” Ricks, still feminine, voice rang out. “What’s the photo?”
Emily felt her lover’s face press against hers as she manipulated the photograph in her hand.
The photo was of a girl Emily’s age. She had Rick’s eyes and freckles but other than that looked very different from the boyfriend Emily knew.
Rick now had shoulder length brown hair with faded blue streaks which went well with her pale complexion. She was shorter than Emily was and in her hand, instead of the colorful flag Rachel was holding meet seconds ago, the flag was now one you’d see at a pride parade.
Pink, purple and blue.
“Soo, how does it look?” Emily heard the person next to her ask, nuzzling her face against hers.
“Uhh,” Emily swallowed hard. “It looks good Rachel.”
Rachel squealed and quickly paused, “ok, I just heard your dad pulling away” a grin spreading across her manic pixie dream girl face.
“So what do you wanna do?”
