The IAC was the biggest event in Animalia, and there were plenty of events going on to prove it. While the biggest event overall would be the Olymic Athlete/Amateur Animalian Comparison/Competition, that wasn't until the Olympic Athletes were done with there events, so there were plenty of other things going on.

To "celebrate" the Coronavirus Pandemic finally drawing to an end, the newly remodeled Kat's Klub was hosting a party that was only available to vaccinated people. Not only did this advertise the new features of the Kat's Klub, but also provided an "introductory" party to the newest member, DJ Jag-Wire. Not only was she up to date on music, trends, and memes, she also had some skills manipulating the turntables. Unfortunately, for some people (all of them visitors) there was a strict 'no internet-connected devices allowed' policy. While this did generate some protest, especially on those who were 'addicted' to social media, she did give a good reason to why this was.
"You don't need social media to be 'social'. That's why the policy is there."

Another big event was the official, public showing of the second Perry Platypus movie: Perry Platypus and the Talisman of the White Snake. It was begun shortly after the plane crash at Mieni Atoll, when 'sensationalists' and deluded conspiracy theorists began saying things like 'a Chinese research lab had been spotted underwater', etc., no matter how much the internet truth finders, authorities, revealed the truth. Fortunately rational minds prevailed and put a stop to sensational stories. Fortunately, a few witty internet users managed to keep some people from getting worked up.
Common_Sense_Man: I shouldn't worry so much about those people. They're so obsessed with their conspiracy theories that they can't tell their left hands from their right.
Mister_Funny: So does that mean they're... ambidextrous.
Fortunately, a nice, acceptable middle ground was achieved by Disney when they decided to create a new Perry Platypus movie. The overall theme was sort of a combination of the Indiana Jones movies and the James Bond movies. The plot was that Chinese extremists, believing that said Talisman would restore China, which had been (in their opinion) steadily going downhill since the Opium Wars and the rise of communism, to its original, "Dynastic" strength. Because of this, both the Chinese, Korean (who had been conquered by China in the past), and American Governments decided to have Perry investigate. Ultimately, the giant snake wipes out the Chinese extremists in a fit of either hunger or "crankiness" but stops when a Japanese Onmyo Mage uses the Talisman to send the snake back into slumber. The movie ends with the Talisman crated up and stored in Hangar 51.
While there had been an official private screening, this one was the official public showing. There were plenty of references to James Bond, Indiana Jones, and Phineas and Ferb, which was the main inspiration. For example, one of the "gadget researchers" said that he had no friends growing up because he often smelled like pork, while another replied, "Well, if you remember to wash your clothes and bathe more often, working at a polish sausage stand wouldn't cause you to smell like that."

Heiya Island was not only the place for the IAC Martial Arts Competition and Showcase, but also the Animalia Comic Convention. Not only did it help explain some things that were confusing to Animalians, it also showed how some things, like dragons, were different in the west than they were in Asia. For example, almost everyone from Asia were confused about orcs, and especially Uruk-Hai. After some comparison, they generally accepted that Uruk-Hai were an offshoot/evolution of Yoki.

While Miles, during his coverage of Miss Juliet's mansion, didn't expect to catch a (questionable) image of a ghost, he was able to get some more info on what was going on. While the French Government had been nailing down the design for the planned casino/brothel/club that would be made from the old wine warehouse, the other European Nations caught wind and also wanted "a piece of the action", much to the French government's annoyance. Fortunately, there was enough middle ground being given by both the French Government and the other governments for some key decisions to be made. For instance, while the club wouldn't be called Juliet's Folly, her girls would be allowed to dance there if they wanted to, but they wouldn't be forced into it if they didn't want to.

Probably the biggest Event at the IAC, and also the most surprising was the Herm Bachelor/Bachelorette Auction. While last month had been "Pride Month", the "announcement" of the herm gene had sparked a sudden surge in hermaphroditic conversions. While a large majority of said applicants were officially "confused" about who they were and needed to be screened, roughly 10-15% of them were those who had gone to black market surgeons and had gotten "botched" surgeries, which enabled them to bypass most of the screening.
"Yeah, I went to one of those, but something went wrong." said a black... "person", if the story was any indicator, "Now I can't be a man or a woman."
"I see." said the Horizon Scientist, making the appropriate notes.

Another thing that had been spiking, which began in June, was the number of gays and lesbians being converted. While it was clear that they were all serious about conversion, they were a little apprehensive about their awakening desires, especially since there were some homophobic politicians who thought that Animalia would be a great way to "deprogram homosexuals", which was simply not true.
