"Look Kim I actually like you as you are. Don't make the change too drastic"
"I'll be changing into an object. Whatever I do will be drastic"
"I suppose. How about you become a shirt. I could wear you to some of the island parties"
"That sounds a bit ordinary. But it does give me an idea. You promise to wear what I change into"
"Of course. Remember to put a time limit on the change though as I want you back. The rules only allow us one change at a time. I want to have a turn being changed as well"
"Oh you will get your turn I'm sure. We are here for 8 nights. How long should we make the first change last? It has to be multiples of 24 hours"
"How about 1 day. That way we can try something different. We could each be 4 different things for a day each"
"Actually make it 2 days each change. I remember reading that you get into character more the longer you experience the transformation for" Kim said
"That would work for me. We would still get to be two different objects"
"Sounds fair"
"Look there is an island party tonight. Will you change into something I could wear to that?"
"Certainly. Are you ready then. Don't watch while I program my change. I want it to be a surprise"
"Sure I'll go to the bedroom"
Kim had moved to the console in the lounge room and turned the change machine on. There were detailed instructions. You watched as she started. "Matthew! I don't want you looking over my shoulder"
"How will I know when you are ready?"
"Just go to the bedroom. When I've got everything programmed I'll call you back in before I press the button. Promise you will wear me?"
"Cross my heart and hope to die"
With that Kim gave Matthew a kiss "I'll see you in two days. I should be aware of everything but I may not be able to communicate with you. It says I can't be damaged but try not to hurt me"
"I'll look after you" you said as you went to the bedroom.
Five minutes later Kim called out "It's all set"
You returned to the lounge "48 hours. Are you sure you don't want it any shorter?"
"Actually I'd make it longer if it was my choice. However I know you want a change as well so I have set 24. Ready?"
"Ready as I will ever be" You watched as Kim touched a button on the screen.
