That's what he wanted. Try being an animal for some time and not worrying about anyone speaking about it. He'll be a horse and that's what everyone around him would know. This service means being changed, then being put in a random stable to care. People who will take care of him won't know that they take care of a human changed into an animal.
He signed a ton of papers with terms, went through medical tests, passing them. In the waiting room, there were few other people waiting for their turn. Nobody was talking, everyone was nervous. One by one were called, after 5 to 15 minutes there could be heard barking, mooing, and neighing. After another 2 hours of waiting, another girl came out and smiled at him "Mr. Adam? Please come" she ordered him to follow her into another room with a chamber. He was getting excited that he will finally be changed, he will experience being a real horse! Maybe he will even be allowed to mate? There were low chances of that, but still. "Please take off all your clothes and jewelry." stopped him just before he enters.
He gulps and asks "H-here?". The woman sighs and explains "only your body is allowed inside, no metal parts. I need to check everything". Embarrassed, he starts stripping. Meanwhile, she started testing his body with a metal detector, finding nothing. He was just about to pull down his shorts when she stopped him "That... you might take off inside and throw away" explains seeing how red he is and... obviously excited "don't worry many people are 'excited' before their change" tries to calm him down, trying to not look there. She knew many men weren't comfortable with that.
His heart was racing fast, he was nervous, but also excited and aroused about the idea of becoming a horse! He hoped he will get used to that, otherwise, it will be an awkward month. He knew he will get 3 days of training, he will be taught how to be a horse, how to act like one. He will retain his intelligence and self-consciousness. Then he'll be put in a random stable to take care of him for next month. They wouldn't know who he is, so he won't have reasons to be embarrassed. She gives him the pill and a glass of water. His hands were shaking, but he paid so much for this... Adam swallows the pill and drinks the whole glass at once. "Now please step inside, it will ease the change".
He finally steps into the chamber, an egg-like-looking capsule with a room inside. He takes off the last part of his clothes and throws them through the doors, before locking them. He noticed few cameras insides, after all, he will be observed during the change. "Okay, we'll release the gas, it will make the change more pleasurable, or at least less weird". Soon a mist fills the small room, it smells sweet. He started to feel numb, like on anesthesia. He read some people feel pain during the change, but it won't happen here.
Soon he started to feel first changes.
