Well, it was good while it lasted. There's nothing like being the boss, and working your way to the top of your drug cartel had left you with all the money, sex and servants you could ask for. Sure, you got caught a few times, but nothing you couldn't weasel your way out of. Unfortunately, the last time you broke out, you messed up bad. You got yourself extradited to a first world country, and you're totally screwed. Sure, you might have been able to lean on a few witnesses or get a few charges dropped, and you might still be able to pull enough strings to score some hot sex with a prison intern if you're lucky, but there's no chance of getting out this time. They have prisons these days that would make Azkaban look like a gingerbread house. Heck, you had to be placed on suicide watch while you were in solitary confinement while you were just waiting for trial! (Or at least, that's what you told your defense team to tell the news media.)
Now you're nearly two weeks through the first of your many life sentences, and you miss your top henchmen already. Fortunately, there is one final loophole still up your sleeve, if you can call it a loophole. In order to alleviate prison overcrowding and save taxpayer money on caring for criminals, a law was passed shortly after the Dr. Kibry's discovery that all criminals have an automatic right to species reassignment. Of course, it's still possible you'll end up in a zoo or a pet shop, and even "freedom" would basically just mean facing the cold hard whims of natural selection in the wild, but you've got to hope for something. You've always been in charge of your fate before!
You're sitting alone in your windowless cell, filling out the final questionnaire before you leave your humanity behind once and for all. You'll get your injection within the prison walls, under tight scrutiny from armed guards and from the prison doctor, because they are never letting you set foot outside this facility in human form. That's okay. At least you'll be leaving on your own terms, from a certain point of view.
