SHE BUMPS INTO SUSAN
Jen walked into the school, her heart thundering in her fuzzy chest. She had to fight an urge to scuttle along the wall and find a quiet place to hide from the throngs of teenagers and teachers. But true to the Susan’s command, no one seemed to think her being a big human rat was a big deal.
She held her ugly tail as she walked, afraid that some bozo would step on it again. Jen got to her locker, her clawed fingers spinning it to the correct combination. She deposited her backpack and retrieved her books. ‘Good deed, need a good deed.’
Jen turned and saw Susan across the hall. She was briefly taken aback by the cowgirls transformed body. Like Jen, Susan’s new form was normal to everyone. Except each other.
“You look a little less ratty,” Susan said, stepping over.
“Did a good deed,” Jen said, running her hands together.
“Good!” Susan smiled. “See you after Spanish.”
Jen watched as Susan walked off, her cow tail trailing after her.
‘Should have turned her into a dog, since she’s being such a bitch,’ Jen thought sharply. Then she realized . . . she was the one with T or D. A smile crossed her muzzle and she showed off her stupid new buck teeth.
