Kim didn‛t know what to do. How would her parents react to a 20 foot firebreathing lizard walking up to their house and telling them she's their daughter? Besides, they live in a small house. She couldn't go if she wanted. Then she remembered that one of her freinds' parents volenteers to help keep a nature preservation every summer. so she decided to go to their house, keeping to the shadows and trees. She saw that her freind, Alex, was in their room, getting ready for bed. It took her all the courage in the world for her to tap on their window. She could hear them scream, because they lived on tne second floor of tneir house, and no one could reach their window without sometning to climb. When they got the courage to look out the window, they were greeted with the face of a dragon in their window. They screamed, and ran out of their room. Kim wondered what Alex was doing, when they came back with their dad, who's face went from humor to fear faster than usain bolt can run. This time Alex's dad rushed to do something, and came back with a loaded rifle, which made Kim back away, trying to seem as least tnreatening as posible. Both Alex and their dad were still very visibly scared. Then, Kim noticed one of the windows to Alex's room was open. She slowly walked towards it, still trying to seem unthreatening, wnen Alex's dad opened fire. Kim closed ner eyes and ducked down, instinctively. Alex's dad mised every shot. Kim moved quicker to the opened window, ghen said, “IT'S ME, KIM! don't shoot... anymore.” “K-Kim!?” Alex said. “No shit, sherlock.” “how did this happen?” “long story.” “can you tell me anyways? K do have all night, and I don't tnink either of us are going to sleep anytime soon.” snapping put of his shock, Alex's dad said “I'm gonna go back to... thing.” and left. “... anyways, can you tell me now this hapened, or did you just come here to scare a grown adult and his child shitless?” Said Alex. “fine, I'll tell you.” skip a couple of hours, and Alex knows everhtning that happened. “oh, you can probably hide in the preserve, being one of only two dragons, but we'll have to sneak you in, which will be hard...” “I managed to not get caught from the zoo to here.” “I live four miles from the zoo, but 80 miles away from here. you could risk it, but I do have a large backyard that you can hide in.”
