Bortock woke up a few hours later, groggy and somewhat disoriented. She stood up and noticed that the Chimera was already awake.
She left the room together with the best through the hole it had smashed through the thick stone wall, looking for anything useful.
Bortock, much to her annoyance, discovered that the castle had been picked clean, most likely by Renux's former slaves.
She only found some basic supplies, before she reached the final room, wich seemed to have been for the storage of enchanted and magical items, most of wich were missing. She did however find a few items that fit the Chimera, including some armor and a collar,
that at least made it seem like the beast was tamed, even if the collar did no such thing.
There were some valuables still locked away in chests, wich the Chimera forced open for Bortock, including a bag of holding,
wich she used to store anything that may be usable or valuable. But despite going trough almost the entire treasury,
Bortock still couldn't find anything that she could actually use, due to her significantly reduced abilities.
The Chimera had just broken one of the last few chests, wich Bortock searched through, mostly expecting to find more to sell later,
only to discover a beautiful white robe, covered in elaborate patterns.
Robe of the Saintess
-Requires 30 CHA
-Wearer must be female
-Adds +5 INT +5 WIS and +10 CHA
-Wearer cannot be harmed by bladed weapons.
This robe is said to have been worn by a beloved Saintess that couldn't be harmed by mortal weapons.
Bortock was ecstatic, not only did she now have something to wear, it would even keep her safe from a lot of potential dangers.
She immediately put the robe on and discovered that it's shape changed slightly, lengthening and reshaping to better cover her,
giving her an almost conservative look, despite her generous proportions.
Bortock looked through the rest of the treasury with renewed vigour after her discovery, hoping to find more items she could use.
The last chest was filled with jewelry and it took her a while to look through it all, but she managed to find a few items she could use.
Minotaur Nosering
-Only usable by Minotaurs and Bovine Beastfolk
-Males receive +5 STR +3 DEX and +3 CON
-Females receive +3 STR +3 DEX and +5 CON
These Noserings are usually given to Minotaurs that have reached sexual maturity.
This Nosering has supposedly been used by many powerful Minotaur Chiefs, both male and female.
Bortock hesitated a moment, before deciding to use the Nosering. The CON bonus was too useful for her to pass up.
She spent a while putting it on and was surprised, when the Nosering slipped into place without any pain or bleeding.
A few experimental tugs revealed, that the Nosering could most likely only be removed by force, wich was something she definitely wasn't willing to do. She looked over the remaining items, satisfied by the bonuses the first one gave.
Harlot Nipple Rings
-Wearer must be female
-Adds +2 CHA +1 CON and increases stamina recovery
Designed to be used by high-class prostitutes.
Bortock wasn't happy about wearing these, but decided to use them, considering that there was nothing wrong with the item itself.
Though she wasn't happy about using them. She pulled up her robe and tried to attach the rings, wich slipped into place again,
likely due to some part of their enchantment. Bortock pulled down the robe again and discovered that it completely hid the rings,
making her look pure and virtuous. She looked at the last two items, deciding to pick up the ring first.
Ring of the Oceanborn
-Requires 20 CON
-Anyone with less than 15 CON that attempts to equip this ring is killed instantly
-Allows wearer to raise all stats by 50 for 1 hour
-Using this item's ability causes extreme pain once the effect is over
-Using this item's ability lowers INT to 1 for 1 day once the effect is over
This ring comes from a place deep within the Realm of Madness.
Using this ring greatly reduces the wearers intelligence.
The penalty for using this ring seemed pretty steep, but the temporary 50 point bonus was more than enough to convince her.
Even her former body only had a little over 20 points, but that had been enough to bend steel and shatter stone.
50 points could make someone almost unstoppable. She slipped the somewhat cold ring over the index finger of her right hand.
The ring fit, but it didn't adjust it's size, like every other item. The convenience of future wearers didn't seem to be something that who or whatever made this ring was concerned about. The blackish blue band of the ring didn't seem like it was made of metall.
The deep blue gem got darker towards the center. It looked like a deep abyss that tried to draw in whoever looked at it.
She looked away, picking up the last item. It was a small, unassuming Earring made of gold.
Lucky Cow's Earring
-Greatly increases wearer's luck
-May cause a random change the first time it is equipped
Said to have been commissioned by a farmer who's favorite cow had gotten sick.
The enchanter made a mistake but ended up creating something incredible due to pure luck.
Many people have worn this Earring despite the side effects.
She wasn't sure whether she should put it on. What if the random effect was something bad? But on the other hand, many people had already worn it despite the side effects, so it couldn't be that bad, right?
